  • Thanks for taking me back to the most beautiful skies of New Mexico. Perfect music selection to complement the beautiful photography.

  • Wow... practically speechless! That was gorgeous... loved the way the clouds built up and flowed during sunset... powerful. Thanks!

  • @intenseangler Thanks man! I appreciate it. Very powerful indeed! One of those moments where you stop for 5 mins and just try to take it all in.

  • Great video as always. The wind was awful on Saturday. Hope you and Monzanoman have a fun camping trip this weekend. :)

  • @Ambear505 Thanks for watching! Yeah, the wind was blowing steady all evening Sat, all thru the night into Sunday. Even being in the rain or under a tarp all day is more enjoyable then 35 mph steady winds. This weekend looks to be better weather.

  • How can it get any more beautiful?! Seriously this makes me so home sick. I grew up in eastern AZ close to the NM border. Many of the places we would hike and explore looked just like that. Awesome time lapse and great music for sunset and sunrise.

  • @SnowLobo95 Thanks man! I appreciate that. I sometimes take for granted what I get to see on a regular basis and realize that there is a uniqueness to the desert that is different then anywhere else. I'm glad to be able to share it with you and anyone else who can appreciate it. I have on my list of planned backpacking trips the White Mountains there in eastern AZ so I hope to bring you some more good memories of the homeland!

  • @CrazyTaileZ No way! As a boy we would camp out in the White Mountains on the Apache reservation. We have a month long family reunion at White River. It's absolutely beautiful up there.

  • @SnowLobo95 Thats the place! I have only been there once when I was younger and remember it being pretty epic in my mind. My friend knows the area well and has got me stoked to go back and spend a week backpacking there. Oh man, I'm looking forward to it and I'll be keeping you in mind when I get out there and film it!

  • Stunning! Like those clouds, I'm blown away...

  • @wawhiker Thanks Bill. I was blown away too... literally because it was a steady 30 mph wind all evening and all the next morning! Made for a dazzling time lapse effect tho!

  • awesome, awesome. :)Enjoyed it. When will they open Jemez?

  • @ez2curanut Thanks! Usually they open the gates, campgrounds, and everything else up April 1st and close everything up November 1st. Found this out the hard way last year... went up in March and everything was closed and I ended up camping off the side of the highway. It was fun, but not THAT fun. :-D

  • What camera?

Very nice, I especially liked 4:00. I've been experimenting with an invelometer, as you know, but have not been very happy with the results. What software did you use on this time-lapse? Spring is coming up, and around here that is prime time for some interesting cloud&wind formations. Man I wish we had that dry high desert air.

  • @kookiemoose Thank you! I've been using a Kodak Z1015 IS over the last year or so. It takes great pictures and has a 15x zoom which I prefer and although the 720p video is stunning, the camera does not like the direct light.of the sun. (makes the light sabors on the top and bottom in the the vid) I have been using VideoStudio x3 made by Corel for editing. I like the features offered and it renders a good time lapse but I had to render it twice to get the speed I needed for the time lapse.

  • Thanks for another awesome video and fine selection of music to watch the land of enchantment perform another sky miracle!

Thanks my friend and I look forward to the next video.

  • @monzanoman Thanks for watching! I bet you know where this video was recorded at but then I got to thinking, I just had a chat with you on the phone about it before I had the chance to respond here to this comment so now it just becomes awkward. :-D

  • Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ridebks I thought it was pretty dazzling and hypnotizing when I rendered the time lapse and saw it for the first time. Thanks for watching!

  • the music just makes it all the more haunting... love New Mexico, love how the light sweeps over the land in the sunrise, like a continuous painting of lighter and lighter shades that surrender to morning... my favourite though, are the Jemez Mountains, that lie within the Enchanted Circle. ... you make me miss waking up to this light.

    ~Kim~

  • @ihikearoundcom I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was really windy and cold outside but it made for a spectacular show in the sky that took me by suprise! You mentioned the Jemez Mtns. I love it up there myself. I'm waiting for the forest service to open the road gates and parking in the spring and will be spending some time hiking around in the Jemez this summer and will post some of the well known features and some of my favorite primative campsites. I'll be bringing some magic rocks! :-)

  • Another great video, thanks .

    Bernard

  • @bpvdd Thank you my friend. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have not had any free time to do a youtube video in quite some time now so I figured I would try and get somthing out by the end of Feb. I appreciate your friendship and support Bernard and as always, I really enjoy your videos and your guitar skill.

  • That was great I really enjoyed see the lights starting to come on in the distance , I always loved coming down the pass into Albuquerque

  • @medicjimr Thanks for watching. I hope to get some footage one of these evenings of the Albuquerque city lights at night. I too can agree that North, South, East or West bound to or from Albuquerque, there is always a great view of the city at night!

  • The desert has to have some of the best sunrises and sunsets what a beautiful place, makes me miss it.

  • WOW!

  • Man, I needed that, thanks for the view. 1:05 absolutely FLOORED me, amazing!

  • @touchnova Thank you for watching my friend! I was suprised at how awesome the time lapse came out around 1:05 and after... the gusty winds can sometimes work in your favor when it comes to time lapse video. It makes for impressive cloud patterns and movements. Glad to send you a little bit of the SW!
