Okay so a Michael Myers mask happens to show up in a halloween store and someone always seems to be interested in it every halloween then michael myers always cares about the same mask. why? haha

This is amazing but as a halloween fan i have to be picky about some details: Event tho you handled it like a bawss, i think it would have been much more creepy/frightening if you showed less michael myers. The fact that you never knows where he is in the first film created a aspect of tension to the overall picture, the viewer don't know where he is and when he will hit. in your fan film, we see Michael Myers more than his victims and we actually knows what he's goin to do.

it's weird, in the movies, he never really hurts the kids other than jamie, (louries daughter in the 4th and 5th one) but he will kill anyone like older than maybe 14? pretty much, in the first, he never wanted to hurt tommy or the girl annie was babysitting i assume, he just wanted laurie, so, i wonder why he never hurts the kids, but the people he DOES kill are people who 1. get in his way

I 100% agree with mafia man. In halloween 1978, the shape wa credited last and it focused on teens having sex and babysitting, so the audience has no idea when he's going to strike. Showin the killers every move just simply makes it not scary. Then again, it is just an opinion, but i'm sure many movie experts would agree.

MANY TIMES. my goal was to instead put the focal point on michael rather than REPEAT the same formula. so while you may want me to copy what's already been done, despite what you and many "experts" may think, i chose to do something different. focusing on michael and following him in my opinion was pretty cool. im sure many experts would agree with me too.

I agree with blinkey on some levels,the killer does deserve some screen time instead of (example) Freddy getting 13 minutes of Nightmare 2 I also disagree with the other guy because this film,is perfect on capturing the motives of Michael and how he won't stop until he kills his victim (such as Jaime being chased by Him in Halloween 4-6)

I like your movies and all but this one needs tips. Make it more original, like don't focus on Michael to much, focus on the heroin, or hero, and have Michael in the background. And at the end, then have the final battle. If I do make a Halloween fan film I'll send it to you guys to see what you think.

@blinky500 Yeah well if you look at other horror movies/slasher movies, they really capture your interest because it does not focus on the killer. Take the Scream series, they are well like because its an intense mystery, horror movie. They make it seem like they all have balanced out parts, but the hero/heroin always gets the attention, and drama, the killer (or in this case Ghostface) gets the chills, thrills, and wonders when and where he is going to strike.

I don't think of Michael or Jason as a thrill killer

Freddy is because in the original series (screw the remake) he kills the last Elm Street kid,Kristen in 4:The Dream Master,yet he continues killing for the heck of it

Jason kills whoever goes on his "property" and Michael has The Curse of Thorn

I read your entire description but I still don't buy Michael as a thrill killer. Even in the original film his intent was to kill his sister and those near her/in his way. He's always been a killer with an intent, not one who kills for the hell of it. That's more Jason Voorhees.

@inlovewithJLT incorrect, it wasnt established that laurie was michael's sister till part 2. in part 1, it was originally going to be titled the babysitter killer. laurie had no relation to michael. then in part 2 they established a bloodline. so yeah, he was originally a thrill killer.

I must say, your horror films are top-notch. I love how you actually make a serious fan film, instead of one that makes fun of or doesn't really fit the original. In this, it had that atmospheric, creepy feel to it that the real ones had. I also love how you used Mr. Sandman at the beginning, added to the Halloween-esque feel.

It was well shot, but I found a lot wrong with it. You had a great Halloween feel to it with all the decor and scenery. But, I did not like your Myers (although a great choice in mask with the Disturbed). He looked like he was trying too hard. The "stalking" and his movements didn't look natural. And you showed his face way too much. Giving his appearance away just defeated the purpose of the POV and over the shoulder shots. You got to hide Myers until the end.

Great fan film! I was wondering if you thought of using FX students from colleges in your area. I think it would be a great way to get no- budget talent because it would help build their portfolio. Plus I think a tiny bit of 3D particle FX in your superhero work would take it to the next level. Early seasons of Smallville and Heroes are a perfect examples of using FX sparin.. (Sigh... yeah, yeah I know. I'm off to your donate page. I'll let my wallet do the talking lol!)
