Peter epitomised what was great about football in the 60's & 70's. He gave 100% always and was one of the best striker's ever. It's hard to believe he's gone. RIP from the Toon.
I'm a Gooner, but I remember so well that early 70s Chelsea side. Ossie was such a character and a damned good player. Was shocked when I heard of his death. Hail and farewell the King of Stamford Bridge.
I was at the last game before Christmas, a couple of months before, and Ossie came out at half time and was introduced to the crowd. He looked so well as he walked around the pitch waving at everyone, yet only a couple of months later, we lost our King.......Rest in peace Ossie, King of the bridge.
Terry is not a crap centre back, and I mentioned TERRY there because someone said "He is a legend, like Terry who will soon be a legend"....So I told him he already IS alegend....Call yourself a Chelsea fan ?
This was the game when gallas scored against tottenham. R.I.P Peter Osgood (the king) great player

Out from the shed came a young rising star,
Scoring against Jennings from near and from far,
When Chelsea won like we all knew they would,
The star of that great team was Peter Osgood
