  • I love Minneapolis I love the Midwest ..IA/MN/NE/SD =] and Texas =]

  • it sad that san antonio,tx is bigger but we have no tall buildings

  • @falloutgeek87 The Minneapolis metro actually ranks 16th in the country. San Antonio ranks 28th. The small city limits gives it a small population.

  • @eluko79 awsome so does that mean that the minneapolis an st paul metro area is the 16 biggeset

  • @extremedude1234 According to the 2000 census, yes.

  • Minneapolis is high in crime so stay away from northside and southside.

  • The far-right lane you see in the video is 35-W northbound as it heads toward I-94. The lane you see on the right with cars heading toward us is southbound 35-W, where it splits from the northbound lane and crosses over the northbound lane of Hwy 65. The lane you see on the left is northbound Hwy 65, as it heads toward I-94 and downtown. The FAR-left lane you see is Hwy 65 southbound where a ramp from I-94 merges with it. Any questions? I mapped this whole area on Openstreetmap :P Yay mapping!

  • no accident hehe good way

  • I think I missed the award of the safest city in the U.S...

The First 48 camera crew isn't here for the cheese curds.

  • lol

  • Minneapolis seems like a nice place. Is it low on crime and a nice place to raise a family?

  • It was just rated the safest city in the U.S, so yes.

  • yeah man, the cities are a beautiful place to put it down....just stay off the northside of mpls..

  • @MiNnViKiNgSrOcK i know minneapolis is bad i live in minneapolis

  • @MiNnViKiNgSrOcK man minneapolis isnt dangerous. it's a nice place.

  • @OnThatPowder oh ya ik... sorry.... i meant not to say 'most' i meant to say least homicides... but my brother was next to me saying "we have like the most in the world!" so i was thinking that... i have to do a stupid report on the city

  • @OnThatPowder i know... i said i messed up... i know... i live there.

  • @MiNnViKiNgSrOcK ???ok man i said that like 4 days ago

  • and this is a really cool video. somewhere in there, is my car heading southbound to work...lol.

  • they do now iloveroads, they have a new ballpark on the western edge of downtown. with that ugly white-topped thing in the skyline, minneapolis has one of the worst. hopefully they'll start shooting the skyline from the end with the new ballpark.

  • were like little ants

  • I drive that every morning, 94 eastbound from 394, through the Lowry tunnel and take the exit for 35W northbound, cross the new bridge and get off 35W at Stinson. I too like that particular stretch of freeway, it always reminds me that I am in a big city. Nice video.

  • Minneapolis has one of the coolest skylines. Especially at night time. Its beautiful. But its not as small as it looks.

  • small but nice skyline

  • Small?

  • So...how many car accidents happen on these kinds of streets? I've been there before, people act like they have a billion dollars waiting for them at the end of the road. They speed like demons.

  • I think Minneapolis has one of the nicest skylines.

  • So I-94 is the one on the left?

  • The highway on the left are the on and off ramps to get to 94 as well as downtown.

  • What happened to I-335?

  • Interesting question. The route was all purchased by the state but the plan never went forward. You can still see the ghost ramps on 35W south into downtown, but the land acquired for the highway has since been developed.

  • Are these the busiest roads?

  • There's a few more that are a bit more busier than this.

  • makes me want to watch "The Jetsons" now

  • nice shot... I recently did a time lapse from the bridge directly in front of you! great minds... or at least minds limited to the cities...

  • Perfect area to film from. nice

  • I have driven 35W alot, and this has always been my favorite part of that freeway. It is where I94 and I35W cross and overlap, plus there are the downtown exits. It really shows how busy these roads are - these are like giant exit and entrance ramps.

  • look at all the speeders

  • i have to second the rip to those lost in the bridge falling. and thank you to all the people who jumped in to help pull people out of the water.

  • this video is awesome! Thanks for posting!

  • RIP to those lost on the 35W Bridge. Wednesday, August 1, 2007 MNDOT needs to step up!

  • that was really cool. is that the same freeway that a portion fell into the river or is that a different area of the city?

  • Its about 1 mile south of the bridge.

  • Yep that is I-35W North bound --If you drive alittle bit pass downtown -U will reach the Mississipi river Bridge!

  • yeaahhhh dude! that was cool--thats off the 24th st. ped bridge--just a few blocks from my apartment. nice!

  • 5 star for that one --you are Mpls icon!

  • Thanks. Although bamboleo and spricket24 are a bit more famous than me.

  • Okay, as someone completely unaware with Minneapolis roading systems is that two freeways running side by side???

  • Yep. The one on the right is 35W.

  • Yeah. Those high pitched zoom bys are cool sounding. Inspiring as always. Did you just do a x2 in moviemaker? Turn 1 minute into 30 seconds?

  • I put the x2 in about three times. I stood on the bridge for about 7 or 8 minutes. People will honk at you for no reason on that bridge!

  • Cool Video, primarily the real sound.
