Why don't you poke holes in the middle where the big hole is? I always do and I get great smoke, I'm not even sure if it makes a difference. It might though...

Jst out of habbit, it lets more air flow through in my opinion and i prefer a bit tighter draw

@3uphrat3s It wont really dont forget theres no tobacco in the middle so pointless putting holes there besides as Jay pointed its tightens the draw else if you start putting holes in the middle youl be sucking in air instead of smoke.You want create a good vaccume and to keep the middle closed is the best way to go about it

a normal setup with a phunnel and al fakher is:

10-12g Tobacco in the Funnel, 2 Layers shisha aluminium foil, 3 Bricos and small and many holes under the bricos, or many holes in a circle.

Tastes good and smokes for 1-1,5hours.

50g of AlFakher cost 3,50 euro.

50g of Starbuzz cost 4-6euro.

and theres a lot of trouble with the law here when smoking moist shisha...

Yh u pack it tight, the size of th hookah doesnt matter, but this works well with a tangiers phunnel, not sure about other bowls

Its not a coil burner, its a normal gas cooker, i cant find any coil burners in the UK

Did you clean it before using it properly

I usually fluff the tobacco in a standard clay bowl and use 2 coconara's and a windocver and it smokes fine

probably not with AF sinec its so wet, and fine, it will just fall through the holes

tried that out today. after smoking i saw a bit of the juices ran over the rim of the bowl and a bit of the tobacco was sticking at the foil.. i think i overpacked the bowl??

do you use that hole-pattern only for af? smaller holes for other tobacco (starbuzz, fumari), right?

Yep this is the method that works best for me with AF, starbuzz and funari its smaller holes

I get a bit of tobacco sticking to the foil as well, its not much of a problem if you dont get harsh smoke, but if you do then you probably over packed a bit, and make sure the tobaco is tapped down as well after packing it helps les tobacco getting stuck to the foil
