  • This Zelda title has the best music in the series. It needs a 3D remake or at least a game based off of it.

  • Ridiculously good.

  • This song got on my nerves so bad! But it did portray what I felt in the Dark World Dungeons rather well.

  • This tune always made me nervous as fuck when in dungeons, especially ones with the fucking wallmasters in them...can't stand still or you'll get raped by a giant hand and taken back to the entrance!! FUCK!

  • Hey bro, anyway you can redo this one to make it loopable? The silence at the end ruins the ability to loop.

  • @whitehawk62

nope, when that happened i swear i thought my game glitched

  • The good old times exploring creepy dungeons and wondering what lies ahead. I found the Bone dungeon and Misery Mire the creepiest

  • I remember playing this game during a rainy, dark night. When I first heard this melody. It fits my memories perfectly.

  • From a music standpoint, the ostinato in the upper part is a tritone (the quick part) so that means it's diabolical and evil. The bass part is all in semi-tones, which creates a lot of dissonance. This piece is atonal, meaning it has no key signature.

  • Ocarina of Time is seriously overrated.

  • @GameMasterGuy Ocarina of Time is great. But it steals the spotlight of other Zelda games all the time. I actually like ALTTP and MM alittle bit better.

  • wow.. memories. This was one of my first SNES games and will always be one of my favorite games. Did this game really came out 19 years ago? I mean, I remember playing it as if it only were yesterday. I guess I'm really getting old TT.TT

  • The first time I was in one of the DWDs and heard this, my first thought was seriously "I am not in the Light World, anymore."

  • I think 'Dark World Dungeon' is a great song. That's when you're in eight Dark World dungeons.

  • i remember how much this used to creep me out

  • Why is a Sports Illustrated swimsuit reveal one of the links to this video's side?

  • I'd so much like to play this the first time once again...

  • awesome

  • A classic. The best part is that even when you're lost in that damn Ice Dungeon, it's still fresh.

  • *contented sigh* Favorite Zelda game. So many good memories.

  • A hard zelda dungeon with this song.

  • Awesome game....love it.

  • Love when the bass strings harmonize.

  • I hated that undead forest area. Hated, hated, hated it.

  • @Imdeadblind oh god that moth boss D; i mean you had to worry about the moth, and it projectiles in 3 directions, and the floor changing direction, and the spikes at the edge of the screen, and the moving spikes, i mean wow.

  • @Koopsas - Dont forget worrying about running out of Magic if you keep missing with your Fire Rod.

  • @ericyee3 aaaAAAAaaaaaa, *deep breath* aaaaaaaaAAAaaa. (thanks for bringing back yet more bad memories ; (

  • @Koopsas I never really had problems with Mothula. I guess there's something to be said about brute-forcing this battle.

  • @EvilMariobot well i was worse at games back when i first played through, so that might be why i found it so hard. Maby on my second playthrough it will be easyer.

  • one of the best games ever. on snes anyway

  • @Metalltool this, Chrono Trigger and Super Metroid are my favorites ^^

  • A Link To The Past is MY link to the past. ;D

  • What I like about this game is the same thing I like about Super Metroid. There are so many glitches to exploit and sequence breaking techniques allowing for incredible replay value. I love that about this game most. I always utilize Death Mountain Descent to get to the Dark World early and even get the LV3 and LV4 swords before the Master Sword on some runs.

  • So many memories come flooding back to me. I should replay this game since I can beat in in a couple of days. My second favorite ZELDA.

  • I played this game yesterday on a real SNES and it felt great. Love it.

  • I tried to like your video, but I got a red exclamation point saying "This feature is not available right now. Please try again later." Reading that as the music played really portended something sinister to me...but seriously, can't go wrong with a classic like this!

  • My first zelda game...:) It's the best one! <3

  • I know these are YOUR favorites, but where's Super Mario 64 - End theme? :P

No but seriously, it has to be one of my favorites. It's such a good track. ^^

Just in case you've forgotten it, search up "Super mario 64 - End theme" here on youtube and you might remember it. :D

  • Wait... this isn't a SoulCalibur 2 song!

  • hey I dunno if you take requests, but if you do could you maybe possibly in any way consider the Deoxys Battle music from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire? xD

if not, that's cool. Love this song, and this playlist. keep up the good work

  • INTENSE. lol

  • You are all wrong.

    EarthBound is the best!

  • The best SNES game IMO is Earthbound and Chrono Trigger (Tied for number 1).

  • @Krakenzeus

Have you played Final Fantasy 6? It's 2nd only to Chrono Trigger in my book. If you ask me Earthbound's kind of in a league of it's own...an excellent game but tough to compare to other RPGs.

  • Really? No Dragon Quest VI music? It came out today. Satan's Castle is a pretty cool song, as is the Underwater theme.

  • Hell yeah!

  • Best Zelda Game ;D

  • I prefer the Sanctuary Dungeon theme but this is still very memorable. The fast strings really bring great tension and a feeling of danger. This is a game I could play through yearly without ever getting tired of it.

  • @SupraDarky I hear you on that one, I say this is best Super Nintendo game, and that's saying a lot with Super Metroid in the way!

  • @isy111 i personally think Donkey Kong Country 2 is the best. A link to the past is a great game and to me the best Zelda game but it couldn't reach the fantastic gameplay of good old donkey kong;)

  • @SupraDarky The whole soundtrack to this game sounds like an orchestra performed it, although the same can be said for all SNES games (in comparison to the Sega Genesis, where every game soundtrack sounds like a polka party).

  • @SupraDarky I like this game so much that I completed it 100% twice as I died 39 times on the first time and I greatly improved my death count on the second time with only 7 deaths.
