  • what a shitty cam

  • man i don't want these people to be my parents how would i know if they're not going to skimp out on me when i need a doctor for some serious shit

  • When I'm doing 'regular' couponing + sales saving 50% is what I expect to save most of the time. I hardly ever buy anything if it's not on sale (lower price than the regular price at the cheapest store)

  • Just like buying a house when the market is down like it is today.

I waited over the past 5 years I knew the housing market will bust.

I brought the house that I live in Lutz florida for 160,000.

The couple before me brought it for $275,000 3 years ago. and done of upgrades to it.

    a

  • @CaseyMcLaughalot most probably

  • See, this is a lot more realistic than that damn extreme couponing show. Juss sayin.

  • these people are so damned ignorant they are digging the own grave because soon enough all supermarkets will put a limit on sales and coupons as a result of this freaky show of stupidity

    other people actually need these

  • @poosaypirate So they shouldn't take advatage of savign money because eventually stores will end it? What sense does that make.

  • @stevenp25100 doesnt make much sense to an idiot, either figure it out or let it go

  • htt p:/ /ww w.gi fthu lk.c om/? ref= 8387

GET FREE STUFF, GIFTCARDS, & MUCH MUCH MORE!!!!! JUST TAKE OUT SPACES!!!!!

  • At anonymous have you ever gone hungry in your life? There is nothing wrong with eating beets and sauerkraut. As a German I grow up on a farm, and we had plenty of that growing in our garden. I love beets and sauerkraut. I even can my own sauerkraut.

  • You cannot count savings off of regular price when something is on sale, because if you didnt have your coupon, you wouldnt have got it for the regular price, but the sale price. This is how they get their ratings up with stupid people.

  • These are the types of jerks who fight with the cashier over 10 cents.

And they hold the line up too, keeping us waiting and waiting --- oblivious to the 25 people behind them.

    They are irritating.

  • @cheeriosinabowl

Unfortunately, I was a cashier for a year - and I can attest to that. People who do this kind of shit; I understand! You want to save money. Fine. But when you start bargaining with me? Get fuckin real. And when you have me call my manager so you can bargain with him? Nah. Fuck that. Get out of our store.

  • @TheCrystalRiver

... I hear ya, working with the public is thankless. I saw a woman recently who brought back a bag of cherries for a refund because they were too expensive. Didn't she she the price when she bought them? Anyways, she gets her refund and turns around and buys $40.00 worth of kittly litter. I am rolling my eyes! People, go figure.

  • omg we dont do this over here in the uk its shocked me that you can save so much just by using coupons like this :P we only shop for the week at a time x

  • Today we MADE $36 buying 40 boxes of cereal. That's our buying price. Not $1.50 a box!!!!

  • Actually not the cheapest family in American, I don't even know how they are able to say that. You'd have to go poll every single family out there and see how much they spend. Don't think they did that. It said they save around 50%, on the couponing show people have save 100% and even got money back on like 3,000 dollar bills. I don't think it's good for the stores either, they lose a lot of money.

  • @xxviciousbeautyxx Can you exlain HOW the stores lose money? I assume you are talking about coupons? The store gets reimbursed for the amount of the coupon plus .08 extra. So, they actually make more off someone using coupons than they do those who do not.

  • wayyyyy to obsessed with saving money. i couldn't stand living that way.

  • These people should be banned from stores. Then people wonder why so many grocery stores are going out of business. Those sales are meant to attract people into the store to shop. Not so people like this can take advantage of the system and rape the grocery store.

  • @yeniceri1015 You know nothing.

  • @TheBrodge Typical reply from people who can't take an opposing point of view.

  • @yeniceri1015 rape the grocery store!!! too extreme

  • Cheap skate

  • I wish food was that cheap in Europe..at least in Denmark! It's hard to find such good deals here. But i dont buy food in cans, sandwich cheese.I go for fresh vegies ONLY,fresh products, organic, alot of fruit, rye bread, oatmeal, and i dont think id ever be able to find space for two ENORMOUS carts of food in my place.Danes buy smaller portions of food, feks once a week.I buy a little everyday depending on whats on sale.We dont use cupons here. But we sadly pay alot in taxes.welfare system. Sugar esp!

  • Wow! I guess they don't know about your health is your wealth!

  • these people are thieves! How is it possible to get thousands of dollars worth of stuff almost for FREE?? Didnt the companies that make this stuff have to pay to make it? Didnt the store have to pay to get all of that stuff delivered? Doesnt the store have to mark up the items just to make money?

How can you get something for nothing?

  • thats a good idea... collect many coupons..

    but it would be embarrassing

  • @7LovinDaLife There's nothing embarrassing about saving money. :P

  • I think its great that they can save so much money but when you live a busy lifestyle and work long hours, 6 days a week its very difficult to try and plan this way.... The planning that goes into saving this money looks like it takes hours not to mention the actual shopping trip which looks like another couple hours by the time you look at every price tag.....

  • @rpleal2469 you havent been broke enough!

  • Yup, this is my tv station alright... :) But, geeeez ... Ron? SHOULD HAVE BEEN CORY!!

  • Man they're really good at that. They must have a lot of patience.

  • What about the opportunity cost of cutting all those coupons and doing all the calculations. They would have to be damn efficient in this process to actually have a net savings.

  • Hey i have a question. Im only 19 and i make a little over 290 a month and im a vegitarian. but heres the cath. i cook for myself and my roomate 5 times a week. got any tips? or places i can shop? i live in fremont Ca and im new here so i haveno idea whats cheap :(

  • lol thought since there was so much food and stuff in the shop it would be super cheap. like 1 cent for everything lol

  • Who buys beets and sauerkraut?

  • Cheap asses

  • It looks like they are sacrificing health to eat on the cheap.

  • I feel bad for the kids. They have to eat beets and sauerkraut.

  • @indigopolarbear i like sauerkraut lol

  • @indigopolarbear Looks like they are making it. Least they feed their kids and are not on food stamps like yours

  • @altha2008 You're an idiot. My family is very well off. I was just stating that beets and sauerkraut are not the most appetising foods

  • @indigopolarbear When your hungry and eat anything that you can.

I lived on a Farm all my live, had to kill a animals, clean them, cook them, and eat them that day.

I can cook rattlesnake, and It will be llike eating chicken.

Beets is reallty good. sauerkrat is good. may not be what you like but if you like eating a bucket full of asswhup give me a call at 1-800-whup-ass

  • @altha2008 same thing, the regular consumer has to compensate the costs of these coupons and sales anyway- it drives the retail price up.

  • those cheap bastards

  • Unfortunately I do not eat ANY of that crap they just bought

  • Any suggestions for Canadians? We don't have "double coupons" days... PLUS, a lot of the savings (coupons)we have with each and every item, we still need to pay taxes on them. What's your suggestions other than what's mentioned on this video?

  • I am still looking for the mayo lol

  • this store has to be kroger.

  • @married1959 good guess, but it is an Arizona based store — Bashas'. We don't always shop there, but this particular week they had some great loss-leaders.

Shop the best sales and save!

  • @MavinOfSavin I'm WAY cheaper than THIS. When We got married, we held the reception in the isles of Costco, where all kinds of food was served, for FREE, and I told them they could eat as much as they wanted. Of course, My family goes there 3 times per week and STILL eats for free, and yes, I do make purchases there too!

  • @married1959 good guess, but it is a local Arizona grocer— Bashas.

  • @married1959 Some of the shots were Fry's which is what Kroger is called in AZ.

  • unbelievable i dont think this real

  • If economides is their real name.......I think this whole thing is fake!!! Anyway: shopping this way is sick "we saved $ 1.33" Saving this per week gives you what? NOTHING!!!!

  • what about the gmo foods ...?

  • @missionaryoffaith What do you mean by gmo foods? Thx! :-)

  • @missionaryoffaith Sheeple Of Amerika - Payday Monsanto aka Payze Duez

    go here on youtube

  • @missionaryoffaith Don't know about genetically modified foods. We grow a lot of our own produce and fruits and stay away from prepared foods.

  • whats the point on going cheap, when everything that is cheap is twice as poisonous...

  • sometimes you have to buy in bulk like ten cans of ravioli for ten dollars

  • You think with the amount of time they spend making sure they are getting the cheapest of everything they could just find a way to make more money..

  • GO FREEGAN!

  • And with all the shopping they do they can't bring back used bags or use reusable ones? Way to inspire the public.

  • Cut grocery costs? Your health should be the last place you cut expenses. By the looks of the house they probably have a lawn where they could grown a lot of their own food. And I bet the cable programs didn't get cut. The companies they are supporting are disgusting. There are a ton of expenses the average American family can reduce or eliminate in order to be able to afford healthier foods. Unfortunately the line between need and want has been thoroughly blurred by companies like Fox.

  • @thoughtputty

I'd point out that it seemed like they shopped decently. From this an other videos (such as one where Annette asks for the nutrition label over the walkietalkie) and the fact that they were buying canned beets for when "fresh produce runs out towards the end of the month." They bought meats and fresh produce and whole wheat bread and cereal, stuff that most of us buy. I didn't see anything they bought that it seemed like they were "sacrificing" health.

  • coupon mom is better

  • they're buying generic brands and not high quality food. buying organic/local no matter if you have coupons is still going to be alot!!!! my family can afford all organic!!, that bread probably has high fructose corn syrup and lots of additives.

  • How do you do it? I am really curious. Most of the "organic" food around here is really expensive, and most of the farmers markets are closed half of the year. Most of the time I cant afford it too often.

  • @wolfen26 you need to buy as much local as you can and buy in season. buy the things that you eat/drink often in

organic and start with produce, meat and then dairy. :D

  • That's why you bake your own bread. I buy the staples and make my own. If i want apple sauce I buy apples (in season), make my own and can it. even buying organic I save about 70% buy doing this.

  • @slane1974 same that is what my family does to. and we make our own yogurt. and we dont eat meat. it takes alot of energy to supply. and I LOVE homemade applesauce.

  • Except on certain store brand items (you don't get those coupons in the Sunday paper), that I need on occasion, I will visit the store website and print out the store coupons, which can be used on store brand items... we also live in the country and our family splits the cost of butchering a family cow or a deer.. you may think it's gross, but I can feed my family for a year from a 1/4 cow, and 1/4 deer

  • matter of fact, I went to Save-A-Lot last week and spend about $160 on pantry items, and stocked up on those things for about 5 or 6 months... and I have a family of 6

  • I do all of my shopping at Save-A-Lot and Kroger, and buy only store brand... except milk, and a select few other items

  • I don't use coupons, in my area, the majority of the coupons are for things I would not feed my kids, or things that I can get the store brand about half of the price of the name brand WITH the coupon.

  • save money by shopping at generic supermarkets like Aldi's and Save-A-Lot!!!

  • haha probably

  • they;re not that good for saving money, i've seen WAY WAY better, just a bunch of showoffs

  • I commend them for making an effort, but you're right I have seen people who have saved much better like a guy who bought a large home in a developing area that rose in price value. People who grow their own vegetables (fruits are a little harder depending where you live) or someone who knows how to sew and buys from outlet stores.

  • omg, this was stupid....walkie talkies?? plus she rudely interupted the checker while she was talking to her...

  • Walkie talkies are awesome........People around here use them to keep track of their kids & spouses. The good ones have a range of 10km. square & they're free to use( unlike cellphones).

  • too bad the don't have a dollar store.

  • god I can't live like that..I just choose one grocery shop and buy what I need, of course, the cheaper products.. I can't plan like a whole month of meals, that's scary.

  • Apperently these people have never heard of Sam's club, bj's, or cost co. Or whole sale for that matter.

  • Im a cashier at a local grocery store where I live, I would HATE to ring them up with the amount of coupons they have! omg! I have to check every coupons dates to see if they are expired or not, and boy ringing these people up it would take forever! LMAO!!!

  • @BandGeek827 Wow. Cashiers like you piss me off. It's your job and you do it buy the hour. You're not going to get out of there any faster if she had items and coupons or if instead you ring two people with just items. I worked in a grocery store too and I didn't mind checking the wording on coupons because that was part of what I was PAID for.

  • @ArkhamCXVII I don't give a shit if I piss people off like you. In fact, I find it funny. I was stating an opinion. You need to calm down. If you don't like what I have to say, simply don't comment! Have a nice life!

  • Funny how their names are

    ECONOMides.

  • LOL i just realized that, funny.

  • Wow. Fox actually broadcast something other than hate and propaganda? Amazing.

  • LMAOROFL

  • My family and I can't afford a house or a nice car, but we can afford good food. We would never shop by price. We shop by how local and sustainable a product is. I will gladly pay $4 - $5 a pound for local farm raised beef and $2 a can for diced tomatoes that are local & organic. Pretty soon you will be required to pay those prices if you want to continue eating. It can't last forever. :(

  • well, better get used to it sooner than later, right?

  • No offense, that is probably why they have a nice house and probably a nice car too, plus they have 4 teens...they know how to budget.

  • If you can't afford local, sustainable food, clothing, and furniture then you don't deserve a house or car. Those come to people who have money to support the whole system. They are not for the poor. Purchasing poorly crafted products from China and low quality food (Wal-Mart coupon shoppers) affects us all negatively. Live sustainably first, then reap the rewards.

  • Go ahead and enjoy your expensive food and pay rent for the rest of your life...it is your choice. Im sure if they wanted to they could buy whatever they wanted but that is not their choice.... You can't reap any rewards if you aren't saving money or without having a budget.

  • It is not my choice. The choice was made for me the day I was born. Live sustainably so that you AND I can live a happy enjoyable life. It's not "expensive" food, it's the ONLY food.

  • "If you can't afford local sustainable food, clothing & furniture then you don't DESERVE a house or car." ???? WTF

That's 1 of the STUPIDEST comments I've ever read!!!

Should they should live on the street, so they can buy locally grown, organic food?

    Should they hitchhike to work?

This family's already doing a lot for the environment by buying 2nd hand clothes etc.(watch their other videos)

Hey, YOU'RE wasting electricity by going on You Tube

Look at yourself, before you criticize others.

  • You deserve a bike and an apartment. I love that you validated my point so well. You feel entitled, as if having "shelter" equals having a house. Anyone who cannot afford to purchase products from responsible companies can only be living off the destruction of the environment, the destitution of slaves (yes, there is more slavery in the world today than ever before and goes to support your lifestyle), and alas, the destruction of humanity. Have fun! ;)

  • Oh, I see........

Javitzso thinks he's God Almighty & can pronounce what the rest of humanity "deserves"

    ....a bicycle & an apartment!!!!

I'm glad that mankind has someone as wise & all-knowing as you, to decide what kind of housing & transportation the other 6.8 billion of us "deserve".

Sounds like Chairman Mao's China or Stalinist Russia is your ideal.

  • Hehe. I've never been accused of being a liar ggmorvaj! lol. Hey, you know what? I don't want to dictate what others should or should not do, but you must agree, if you were to find (through intense research) that your life is supported by slaves, wouldn't you want to change?

BTW: I have NO idea how I subscribed to that stuff. I've never really used my YouTube settings!

I appreciate your responses! LOL! ;)

  • I purchase used clothing, I purchase used products, I use a tiny power saving laptop, I live in a tiny condo, I drive a tiny car, I have a family. I ride my bike to work 4 days out of the week. I check every product I buy for it's sustainability factor. My children DO NOT eat school food. I educate my children as to real truths in the world, and we go to a different church (religions & factions) every week to teach the kids about the way humanity behaves.

  • Javitzso, I don't believe a word of what you wrote. I just checked your channel out & it says you're only 28. You subscribe to Hip Hop & Street Art channels.

Yet you claim you have several school-aged kids etc. Also, that you drag those poor kids to a different denominational church EVERY WEEK just to teach them how "humanity behaves".......

    ROFL

Busy young families don't live(by choice) the way you claim you do.

That sort of self-denial gets Catholics canonized.

    I think you're a pathetic liar.

  • You know you can dice and can the tomatoes yourself. It's not that hard. And if you can grow the tomatoes its even cheaper.

  • but you can only use one coupon per person so how can you use that many coupons in one store?!

  • not true...some weeks they allow you to use double coupons and when you use them on sale item you get a big savings...

  • Not true. It depends on the coupon. Some can only be used one time. Who knows if the husband is shopping separately. I have seen people do that.

  • Another wonderful place to shop if you have one is the Wonder Bread Outlit. (they have more then just bread) Wednesdays are their 1/2 off of their already low prices!!!

  • It's how I shop and it works. One thing I noticed that they didn't do in the video is bring their own bags. I keep a bag of folded up grocery bags in my car all the time, just in case I need to stop and pick up a few groceries while out running other errands. Every grocery store chain in Phoenix gives you a $.05 credit. I even use my own bags for produce which stores will also count. Looks like they used at least 25 bags(?) That would be another $1.25 off.

  • You rock — and using your own bags does save. We've got some that are 5 years old. They just didn't show it in the video.

    Steve

  • You know, if you have an Ikea near you, they have these FABULOUS big blue tote bags.. .I mean they are huge! For only 57 cents or so. I use them for groceries, laundry, moving.. they are super sturdy.

  • We just reuse the plastic store bags as garbage bags for our trash cans and since out trash cans are small anyway that works out perfectly.

  • ohh BURROTHUR! HEHEHEHE

  • LOL thats funny they're all technical with those walkietalkies

  • wow!

  • thats great but you have to watch for food thats cheap because its close to going bad. always check the dates. the food lately is being stamped with dates that in the past were not given long fridge life before. I clean my fridge out every week and the life spans of some items dont make sense.

  • Whatever store they are shopping at is really cheap $.75 for bread, and $1.50 for cheese is really cheap compared to walmart where I shop.

  • The bread was on sale. and the cheese was 3.99but with cupon is was cheaper.

  • It's Bashas. As long as you buy things with your thank you card it's cheep. But it's an Arizona store, they do have one over the border in Needles,CA.

  • We got a loaf of kroger brand bread last week for $.75

  • I love kroger. I get alll my macaroni and canned spaghetti sauce from there ( mushrooms from produce) i can bring lunch to work everyday for less than 5 bucks a week....lol

  • I also do extreme couponing and have done several videos myself. I think its great her husband loves shopping just as much as she does.

I get my kids to help me clip and we sit down and use this time to talk to each other about our day or just about what ever they want. They help and I listen.

  • I used to think there was no way to save money on groceries until I started doing "extreme couponing." I swear it saved my budget-- BIG TIME!!

  • I've got their book, and it is really an eye-opener on how much money I can save if I really want to. The grocery shopping is hard though, as I don't buy processed foods like Kraft Cheese and there aren't a lot of coupons for fresh foods. Still, I love the idea of having a "buy price" for things like cereals. Thanks for sharing this video!!

  • I raised my children on generic store brands. We ate a lot of foods made from scratch. There isn't a difference in taste. If you teach your children to be grateful instead of picky they will eat. It won't hurt a picky child to go to bed hungry a few nights till they learn.

  • I agree ...I am a cook so i know how to stretch meals...I have actually saved the place I work at money with the way i cook

I use the same method at home and I was thought this method by my grandma who went through the depression

its very simple you just work with what you have...where some people throw out left overs I make casseroles

  • or you can just get the generic brands for about the same price ..i can go to a store here called save alot and get about 2 more full bags of food for that price without all the coupons

..the only thing i don't understand is how they have a nice house like that and 2 cars with 7 kids on 35,000 a year ...

  • You would be surprised how far money can go when you truly (and it's hard to do) learn the difference between needs and desires.
