I can't stand a man on fire, personally. It's just bad decor.
Killing the mother looking over her child is beyond my scope. As Ander put it last night, I am indeed Chaotic Good. I just could not do. At least they're all speaking English, unlike my neighbours. My horror game is everyone speaks Spanish (or to be fair to my friends who do speak actual Spanish, Hispanish)
@23penguins32 It doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the art deco motif, does it?
Well to be fair, she was looking over a pram containing a pistol. Somehow in her mind the pistol had taken the place of the baby she no doubt had at some point.
I'm not sure all splicers throughout the game do speak English.. I honestly can't recall. There's certainly a mix of nationalities down in Rapture.
@clackclickbang Oh that's good. I missed the pistol in the pram. The mind sort of tells you it's a baby...well, I guess it was telling her as well.
Sorry for that. Whilst watching this there was a huge row at like 05.00 outside my window. I gather one of the banditos was sexing up another one's missus. Hence the bent toward the Hispanish (being yelled even louder than my headset would go). I won't repeat here what I told the police.
@23penguins32 I do indeed think that's the point. It's shown what severe mania a mother has reached. The question is, what did she do with the baby? Is it worth considering?
Amazing game with amazing story and atmosphere. Although it always bugged my how the chief psychopaths were named: Steinman, Cohen, and Tennenbaumn. Seemed kind of racist.
Did you read about Peter Thiel's attempt to create his own artificial private island to be governed by his Libertarian principle's? It will probably not be as dramatic as Rapture, but it could be an interesting real life story.
@mollytherealdeal I didn't know he was creating his own island, but I had heard he was putting a great deal of money into it. I wonder how it will all pan out..
@marvelona Back then I was playing on my laptop. Now I have a flashy new PC built for me by my brother-in-law to be. I've been playing an assortment of games (this, Metro 2033, Mass Effect) and they all run superbly.
Wow! Really good game has me on my toes kinda feeling ,The feeling to me is like a scary movie I think.I'm really scared when I see the people come out of places. But its your comment makes it feel like were both in a movie,so its not too scary.
@clackclickbang When you put it like that ... I agree that the "found recordings" are super important to the tone (you saying as much is actually from the new bit) and I'll gladly volunteer (as I said previously) to help you make up some if you ever want to get a BioShock RPG running again and want some player-aids.
@boltorange If I ever get a chance to run a Bioshock chronicle of decent length I'd love to include audio logs recorded by people such as yourself. I am deeply grateful for the offer.
your commentary reminds me of a 1930s adventurer

You would make a very poor volunteer fireman.
The city started in Hell. A libertarian society is an oxymoron.
Gee, it's the Lib. wet dream, dog-eat-dog. Do you get bonus points for being a sociopath?
What good is money?
How many shots do you get per injection?
Altruism is most likely genetic. See Dawkins.
Do you ever meet your 'guide'?

@tetsubo57 Does one not put fires out with a wrench?
If the city started in hell, where did it end up?
My killing of others is merely a form of self-defence. Surely you, as an American, should know about that!
It makes the world go 'round.
I'm not sure.. I think it's three shots per 'shot' as it were.
I'm looking at myself right now.
In a manner of speaking. Keep watching.

@tetsubo57 Haha, this is almost as good as watching the game.

P.S. I'm also curious as to how this game is running spotless, while L4D was having trouble.

@DirtyBriefcase Yep. His dislike for 'Ryanism' is already showing.
I have a PC now of rather impressive specs!
