  • Great montage. Somehow, I like to think Harold survived; He now sits in the House Of Lords, and has narrowly escaped being caught out for fiddling expenses...Untouchable...

  • guy at 2:03 looks like Shia Labeouf, with actual balls.

  • That looked like a young Pierce Brosnan drawing his gun at the end there

  • Harold finds himself at gunpoint from the front seat passenger - IRA gunman played by a then-unknown Pierce Brosnan. Don't think he many lines to remember in this one.

  • @filmmusicstudio He only has one line: "Hi." - at about the 20-minute mark in the film, when he murders Colin (Harold's friend-cum-courier).

  • brilliantly done,i appreciate the time you spent putting this together. My son spends hours doin the same, great to know there are people out there with talent, keep it up pal or i will be round ure ouse wiv razors ha ha

  • One Hell of Movie!

  • can someone please give me a link to downlaod the soundtrack

  • This and Caine's "Get Carter" have to be the definitive British gangster movies -classics!

  • Helen Mirren....WOW...!!!!

  • I love this film and found it hard to get the ring tone to the theme tune. Google theunlocker and it's free. Classic old school stuff love it.

  • Hip, Britain, hip !!

  • All that's yuppie flats now. Canary Wharf and Quays rather than docks. Prophetic film. Belter of a film and soundtrack.

  • great film,LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK,nicely put together.

  • Yes! This is a pretty true to life depiction of what would

happen to british gangsters if they musled in or fucked with

    the IRA.

  • @PhuckinKunt Is it indeed?

  • 1.53 Check out a younger Denzil .

  • @yiddo43 yes its denzil, must be before he married corrine and started world wide delivery services.

  • great film

  • Hey! thanks for the positive comment.

  • classsssss film

  • Damn, this is a great song. Love the movie, too.

  • Thanks for the comment Jonathan.

  • Great! thought about having a go at this myself, but can't better this!

  • Other channels have done this, thought it could do with a revival. There's plenty of great quotes of dialogue to blend in with the footage. And of course some 'x rated' scenes I did not use.

Thanks for your comment ...seem to recognise your current thumbnail pic from somewhere.

  • Excellent!!!!! Great job mate!!!!

  • Fucking hell! You couldn't really pick a better film to appraise!

A masterpiece and you've done a sterling job as usual.

    Thanks.

  • the i r a cud not fuck wiv a london gangstar

  • wat u sayin son i. r .a would make london fellas look like lunch. and im from london lol

  • @ZeeGooner no ill tell u the truth in real life the british gangsters would beat the ira

  • @BestLoyalistMusic10 because the IRA were just irish gangsters..

  • class gangstar

  • Thanks for posting this SC. This has always been one of my fac soundtracks. It's kinda eccentric in the same way as Roy Budd's 'Get Carter' theme is also. To my knowledge, Francis Monkman has never repeated such heights with a filmsocre, though he was very instrumental in driving Sky (for those old enough to remember them,, along with John Williams aka, Deer Hunter 'Cavatina' theme) to the success' they enjoyed.

  • SC, you seem to have got your hands on my soundtrack collection, every film I have you seem to have done here lol. Another brilliant job done. But you should have included the music at the end of the film. Great acting by Bob and the score is amazing.

sorry mate only 9 out of 10 this time :-)

  • Harold: You don't crucify people! Not on Good Friday!

    90% can't be that bad?

    Thanks again.

  • great british film and superb music. interesting to see how so many locations in the film have changed drastically. if only bob hoskins had been parker in thunderbirds update

  • There's a list of 13 London locations used on wikipedia.

Yes I agree, he would have made a great 'rough diamond' for the character Parker.

    Thanks for your support.

  • Gentlemen, its a small pint but I think you belittle Ron Cook who actually played Parker in the awful remake version of T-Birds. His was the only credible performance in an otherwise complete flop. There's a great soundbite I had of him on my PC going 'Rivetting M'lady'. Look out for Ron, he often pops up in Brit dramas as a character.

  • Another excellent job on another excellent film. Love the movie and love the music too.

  • Pleased you like this one.

    Thanks for your support.

  • good job again but the song is not so my favorite.

Is that pierce Brosnan at the end of the video?

  • His first film role, Brosnan appears as an IRA gunman who kills Harold's long time friend, Colin in the swimming baths and also sits in the front seat of the car which Harold gets into.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • good job but the song is not so my favorite.

hey,is that pierce brosnan at the end of the video?

  • Best Brit gangster movie ever. Marvelous vid buddy!Kudos!

  • Hard one to choose between this and "Get Carter".

Thanks for your encouraging comments and videos George.

  • Get Carter comes in as a close second in my book. Hard to beat Bob Hopkins tour de force acting in this one, great direction by John Mac Kenzie and Monkman's score is absolutely great. Sadly this is going to be remade by Hollywood idiots.

  • ...and lets not forget The Hit and Sexy Beast, two more outstanding Brit gangster flicks! Again kudos for the great work.

  • I doubt if the USA/Hollywood will achieve the sizzling atmosphere and grim realism of the LGF.

Incidently, the film was spoofed in one year's edition of Comic Relief. Titled "The Wrong Good Friday," it featured Bob Hoskins asking for a payment from Jimmy Nail.

  • Brighton Rock, Villain- 1971 maybe, Mona Lisa-1986 and even, The Wrong Arm of the Law.

  • Saw Villain the other day...riveting performance by Mr. Burton. The Krays comes in mind, another great one. Any other suggestions buddy?

  • To right zero,

Man, even i was scared to death of mr Logan.

  • Excellent! GREAT! THIS IS FANTASTIC! great music! just GREAT! *****

  • "One of Britains best gangster movies"

    Thanks for your comment Jack
