Hey, I see you have a ton of movies. Perhaps someone can help me. I remember as a child looking in a horror section of an old video rental place and seeing a box of a horror film that looked liked it had a soldier's arm holding up an full metal jacket style helmet in what appeared to be a swamp. Anyone have any clue what movie box I possibly saw? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

@defshark99 Don't know if your still looking but I was thinking "Death Dream", i don't remember the box but the movie is about a Vietnam vet coming back as a zombie. It was one of Savini's first credits.

I don't. But, I have a lot of films some would say... "that's NOT horror!" Like, Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, The Wizard Of Oz, My Mom's A Werewolf, Rockula, and the list goes on. If a film has horror overtones to it or Halloween themes, I usually pick it up. Later, J.

hey maybe you can help me, but when i was a kid i would go to my local video store, and in the horror section there was one cover that caught my eye, but for the life of me i dont remember the title. the cover had like a girl being sucked into a book or something, and there was like lightning around her i think,maybe she was staring at the book, anyway i would appreciate it. nice collection too

How much did you pick up Spine for? I have been looking for that tape forever!

I'm sure I paid a bit more than I should have. But, today Spine is available on DVD so, it may have driven down the prices of used VHS's. It usually does. The Monster Squad used to sell for a pretty penny, used on VHS. Once they released the DVD you can't hardly give away a copy of the VHS. So many titles like that, too. Odd to me considering it's the DVD's that are a dime a dozen. Good luck with that. Ebay is your best bet. Have patients and keep looking, it'll pop up. Later, J.

Ah alright, actually that Spine DVD is a bootleg. I hate paying a lot for tapes, I just learned it was an XXX company that released it...so I will be now looking at the XXX section at the flea market...you never know!

I know a guy that slapped down $80 on that bad boy on eBay!

Wife? You gotta be kidding. I am keeping my eye out for a cute witch, though. I have a decent collection, yeah, but I know it is just a taste of what some collectors have out there. I imagine in time we'll be seeing others large, rare, horror VHS collections pop up here on youtube. Ones that will put mine to shame. I admire all folks horror film collections myself. The Driller Killer is decent and is a public domain film. The Wizard of Gore is a pretty bizarre film. SNDN is one of the better slashers out there. Deadly Spawn is a pretty good monster movie with a lot of cool scenes. Parasite is rather poor and not one of Charlie Band's better films.

Idk if I said this already, but Make them Die Slowly is the cut version of Cannibal Ferox. And Buried Alive is the cut version of Joe D'amato's Beyond the Darkness. Always wanted to find the big box version of SNDN.

Equinox is on DVD from Criterion, but it's like $35. Luckily, I taped it off Showtime. Movie House Massacre is directed by Rick Sloane, who also directed the very terrible Hobgoblins, which also made one of the funniest episodes of MST3K, which is a great show btw!

Thanks. That's not all the bigbox vids I have, there's about 50+ more in my other room. I'll show 'em when I get back there. I am going to do the DVD rack, too. It will be last of all, though. I'm not a big DVD collector, but I have some. All horror, of course. One thing DVD has done for me, is to allow me to get some films that I've always wanted but could not get on VHS. Like Cannibal Holocaust, Night Of The Lepus, What Have You Done To Solange?, Hitch Hike, Hitcher In The Dark, etc. Peace, J.
