  • You have a grate way to explain what you are doing. I like it.

    Thank you for you videos

  • thank mate!, my dad thinks I'd be a good at documentary shows for TV!

  • good vid. a a/c compressor shoud not detanate because thear is no air in the system.

  • we are toying with the idea of using them as rotary air compressors, although neither one of us has had a problem of detonation so far.

  • Refrigerant tubing is rated for 600 psig.

  • thanks friend would you know what standerd 1/4 tubing can handle it looks the same as whats on my unit but not shure about the wall thickness it looks thicker on the compressore

  • the tubing in your unit will be Refrigerant tube, as thin as it is its very strong, but I was more concerned with outside lines and fittings running at such high pressure. I don't think a flexible hose could take 300+ unless its a special oxy or hydraulic hose with crimp fittings?

  • I agree with crob227, Aussie50 is best damn online prof there is. Should be in the best of youtube rankings.

  • you said you were just a scrap man.......

you know alot about hvac to be a scrap man, great video's and very educating.

  • this gie is awsome hes like a comic book charictor ,you dont find peopl like this around often

  • well, scrap is how I started out, naturally I like fixing and exploring how things work before I actually scrap them.

I do know a lot of HVAC tecs (I can't legally handle gas or installations on other peoples equipment) so I just absorb whatever I can to help myself and others, which is why I got the camera and record my info to help others.

  • i have been in it more than 10 years, and had never actually seen the guts of some of these compressors, so thanks and it is appreciated

  • do you use an angle grinder to cut into these things

  • When I scrap them I cut right through with a 9" grinder, if i want to keep the insides clean I cut just below the weld line, and only through the first layer of steel, with a 4" grinder and ultra thin wheel.

  • i totaly agree with the comment on the clattering noise your write
