I dont understand, I cannot for the life of me get stable midi clock from ableton to control my virus ti snow, mc909, and ms2000. Is there some trick to it? seriously need some help before i give up.
Hi there man, hmmmm...there shouldn't be a problem here? If you like, please send me a private message detailing the way you have everything set up and I will do my best to help.
Basically in this video, all the percussion noises are coming from samples that I have sequenced in Ableton and all of the melodies are coming from the Access Virus synth sitting there on the table. Everything is being played live to arrange the track and some FX are being added on top to give some varation. Glad you enjoyed it!
Hehe no problem, your English is fine! In this video I am using some sequencer software (Ableton Live) to control a hardware synthesizer (Access Virus) to make all the sounds in real time. That's how this track is played - almost all the sounds are created on the hardware and played back as the song plays. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.. :)
Thanks for the comment man - glad you liked the track! The effect on the video was one I played about with in Cyberlink Powerdirector...cheers for watching!
Thanks a lot man, glad you like it! I am using an Access Virus Classic for most the noises on this. Gonna be getting me a Ti soon though....sooon.....moooohahahaha. ;)
Hello mate, absolutely superb work with the music, top notch. I found your vids because I just plugged in my 505 after a few years in the wardrobe.
I read in this vids description you are using ableton, I use ableton on my desktop machine but it kills my laptop, was wondering what spec your laptop is?
I run traktor pro fine on mine but ableton kills it.
I think I answered my own question kinda, I bought an external soundcard with my controller for traktor, never tried ableton with the new card, just tried, 4 tracks running, all with eq and efx, was sweet.
sweet :) if this is on beatport you shall have some more of my (coughs) hard earned money :) well you'll have some of my money even if i do bluff my way through work
I really appreciate that man, thanks a lot. The community on YouTube has seriously been the biggest inspiration to me - thanks a lot for all the support!
Well then... Just keep on supplying us with quality sounds and we'll keep on giving you sound feedback.
Oh Yeah.... And thank YOU for taking the time to reply to comments.... Not a lot of people can be arsed to do that mate and your quite consistent 10/10
Hey man, thanks a lot for the comment! I'll try and get another video uploaded within a couple of weeks...I've not tried Sylenth yet, I'll give it a shot and it might feature in the next vid! Cheers..
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It has been a long time since I've made anything pounding...that could very well be the next mission! Cheers..

Hi, really nice sounds, very musical, and good production - fits together very nicely. I like the mellow groove, with electro elements too. Nice!
Just noticed you have the same monitors as me. I'm thinking of changing mine - finding the bass lacking definition.
Cheers
