i got dirt mixed with a bit of sand, it works good for my ant queen, she digged a room twice her sice in 1 day in her own

hey, witch do ant prefer to dig in soil,sand ,fertilizer or dirt or something easy to dig though but will hold together just to make them feel comfortable tell me what u think.

to continue from what i was saying... my smaller ant farm is a big success the red ants are increasing. all ant the ant queen got along together and worked together to make the first chamber...i came back after an hour,i saw only one was laying eggs(other 2 kept digging)for min i thought only one would lay the eggs(maybe she layed down the law or some thing )but then i saw the others laying eggs.thank u !!  o

I'm in the making of a giant ant farm . but i need to find the stuff. I already have it drawn out with many looks. but i need are these(giant house hold aquarium fish tank,a couple long pieces of see through tube,screen,some jars,a dome , and paper towel rolls.)to make an ant farm.

now for what i'm gonna put in it ex.(soil, rocks, grass, cotton balls (to hold water in it)flowers, 3 red ant new queens,sticks,leafs,toilet rolls. i know it will work because i made a smaller version and it's great.

This ant farm is called anthill. this is the back. the front is an actual (well, plastic) ant hill so it would make the place feel like home to the ants. put if the ant farm get bumped, all that dirt will collapse on them and might even kill the ants.

ahh i hate those stupid ant companies. they take forever just because of the weather conditions. at least made your tubes better quality and have some sort of a cooling device in them. ants are always in the heat anyways and love to be fried by a magnifying glass >:-)
