LOL i bet idiots like these get on their hands and knee's during a lunar eclipse believing its the dajaal or some bullshit act by allah.
The lot need to be put down like the stupid primates they are. Go read upon history before your bullshit religion was invented. ALL of the so called "science" (fake) in your vaguely kiddie-script quran was known by the greeks. But keep your bullshit beliefs, after all why would you want to blindly follow islam, without knowing the truth???
I was in Elementary 4,I could remember this game like it was yesterday. All the adult watching this game with us left with annoyance when Nigeria was 4 goals down and they came back when we then kids were rejoicing over and over and they couldn't believe it.
Saturday, February 25, 1989. I know exactly where I was when this miracle occurred. I wish this had more details like the penalty shootout (which Nigeria won 5-3), etc. However, thank you so much for adding this classic.
This was such a talented team with; Phillip Osundu, Dimeji Lawal, Chris Ohenhen, Mutiu Adepoju, Peter Ogaba, Nduka Ugbade, Christopher Nwosu, Tony Emoedofu, and Bawa Abdullahi. I often wondered why Adepoju was the only one to make a successful transition to the Super Eagles.
I have to correct you there..Christopher Nwosu,Nduka Ugbade,Chris Ohenhen,Oladimeji Lawal all made it to the Super Eagles but their careers were short due to injuries and playing for low division clubs.
My point exactly, Adepoju was the only one to make a SUCCESSFUL transition to the Super Eagles. Ugbade was a close second but he was surprisingly left off the USA 94 squad
Indeed a trully phenomenal testament to what we can achieve when we put our minds to it. Impossible is Nothing (courtesy of Nike). I remember watching the game live. Chris Ohenhen's long range free kicks are simply legendary. The full length video of this game should be shown to all Nigerian Soccer teams before every game. Congratulations to the U-17 Nigerian Soccer team for winning the World Cup.
I remember my father telling me great stories about this game and how magnificent our boys were against the mighty soviets led by Oleg Salenko (USA'94 golden shoe winner).
I remember that game very well, its a really crazy game. one of the two great comeback I ever saw. there is one like that game the video clips start with 4-0 from the blow team.
I watched this game and its so amazing to see it again. Its one of the greatest matches of all time, one of the best I've ever seen and definitely the greatest comebacks of all time. I'm so happy we whopped their asses. Long Live Nigeria!!!!
Damn I was kid when iheard other grown folsk scream and ashout so loud celbrating this game,i had no idea. This is the 1st time I have seen this infamous game since peopel always talked about it.That equalizer and the freekick was ridiculous. That was a humumgous comeback.
