@highdefnow She is now dead, sadly this is not the the Whitney i grew up on. I grew up in the 80's and 90's. i was born in 1982. Im 30 this year and to hear that she has passed has made me cry. I was watching CNN the moment it broke in, and man tears poured. I didnt know her, im just a regular joe, but to me she is the second greatest voice of my generation. Mariah Carey is the first. Greatest love of all was my second grade song, i sang it in a chorus performance. So this hurts. Rip Whitney...

We all love Whitney BUT!

you need to also remember that Whitney - unlike YOU wasn't exactly given a RAW deal in this life - after all she was born with the features and figure of a Goddess and the voice of an Angel.

She has abused everything she was given.

I really do sympathise but there are places to go for help and Whitney's got access to the very finest.

Whitney REALLY needs to ditch the cigarettes (and god knows what else) and stop blaming her age - shes only 47 not 77. Even Cissy can sing better than Whitney these days.

She needs to get serious and decide if she wants her music career then shape up - if she doesn't want to get back into shape - she may as well forget about her music career as the public will lose interest.

I have loved Whitney since she first appeared on our radios/TV, have seen her in the past and what a sad performance she gives now. Look back to the grammy awards of 2000 (yes just 10 years ago). @MrSmoothhound Her performances of I Learned From The Best from this tour wipe the floor with her 2000 Grammy Performance. She struggles mostly with I Will Always Love You, but then again who could sing it like her to begin with. She set the bar so high that not even she can reach what she used to be able to do. But no one could and no one can to this day come close to what she achieved. Tina and Cher's songs were NEVER as hard to sing as Whitney's. Period.

okay i'm going to honest here people,Whitney can't sing like she use to. I think people know this but they dont want to admit it cause they dont want to seem rude or hating on her.Dont get me wrong their were some strong points in her singing but it wasn't all there.I remember when Whitney could sing she could hit those high notes at the drop of hat and could hold that note without having to stop and start again. Being gone for 5/10 years, it just doesn't come back that easily.
