@roslala2 Actually, no, he isn't. The "mounting" (or ride-up) movement Twister is doing is actually a bid for dominance. Ride-ups are a common way of saying "I'm better then you" in dog language-- it doesn't have much (or anything) to do with actual sexual arousal. Since these coyotes are only six months old they aren't sexually mature yet, meaning this has nothing to do with sex. (Not to mention the fact that coyotes and wolves only breed ONCE a year, in late winter.)

According to the seminar we took at this same sanctuary, coyotes yip like that and take turns barking so bigger animals, like the wolves you heard howling in the distance, will think there are more coyotes than they really are. Nature is really brilliant.
