This one was better than the second. At least in this game if your characters die the game continues on. I am reading people comparing it to Silent Hill but I think this was just a game version of the movie "The Faculty".

I've played number 2, was awesome...

At one point i got my sister to join in for fun, was hell awesome. At one point she climbed up and i told her (because I'd already played some earlier) to get ready to hit buttons fast to lift me on a platform because monsters will try attack me..

She climbed up, then took my characters hand, then the monsters came and she screamed and started annihilating the button to pull me up hahaha, funniest thing I've ever seen.

Obscure... Silent hill/ SM, is a shit fucking americanised remake of the first game... killing the meaning completely and the feel.

Another good game is Forbiden siren 2... the first one was brilliant but the shit controls and buggy gameplay stops me from recomending it... the second is just brilliant in every way.
