  • A post hole digger on the back of a LandRover/tractor/LandCruiser would save a lot of back ache? Was that near Tropicana?or Plumridge Lakes very similiar country and the sand dunes glimmer.

  • I am building metal detector that sit below a modified roomba. Next just need to further modify it so that it drops a flag on eah time it beeps. This way I do less digging.

  • arrr camping its as good as gold.

  • So what sort of coil are you using? Duel coil in a TX/RX configuration?

  • god did u have to make it soooo long

  • I so want to do it. :(

  • A heck of a patch of gold, spread out too.

  • what metal detectors are you guys using? job well done!

  • @wngchnKid 3500 and 4500's at the time I think.

I used a mono coil to begin with, I was leaving nuggets everywhere.

The mono was very annoying and difficult, I could run over a target and tune it out after the 2nd swing.

  • @Hypn0tiK1985 5000 !!!!!!

  • hi. do you need a permit to fossick in that area? thanks for the upload.

  • @wngchnKid If you check the mines department website they have an application called Tenegraph. This will show what is "Exploration, prospecting and mining leases)

  • This video sucks nothing music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Went prospecting in the bush with a metal detector last month. I found something really big! I was wandering around for a couple of days and not getting anything, found an old tin can. After another couple of days the siren went off real loud and told me something metal was under the ground. I dug away the dirt and guess what I found at the bottom of the hole - a buried metal detector!

  • How much to send me a couple of pounds of that black sand???!!! LoL!! I would love to try and pan some out and see what I find. You Aussies are spoiled, just wandering around looking for the "big" stuff =)

  • nice rippppas!

  • music is very annoying!!!!!

  • @sandhilldiva Turn it off? :)

  • Do you ever worry about disturbing a dangerous stingray and dying horribly like that other Australian guy, The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Ermine? But I guess that's a risk you have to take to find the gold! Nice.

  • @Icehut I've never heard about stingrays that swim on land. They are water creatures. We have no natural predators on land in Australia, apart from deadly snakes and spiders.

  • @Hypn0tiK1985 If you dont worry about wild dogs, pigs, numerous stinging insects, lack of water, and so on. Yeah, Australia is harmless...

  • @Hypn0tiK1985 i think you are forgetting the drop bears and the bearded frill-necked rock wallaby, though the drop bears are more in the forested areas, the wallaby has been known to kill campers in the outback.

  • Kalgoorlie love

  • love this video!! congratz guys, i seen this spot a few months ago damn it. but i know others around kal

  • @SeekerDmacster I think were moving on from Kal.. Its had a hammering over its lifetime... My dad and grandad been hitting that area for over 50 years. Time to go further out.

  • love this song how much is it to buy

  • It's just large chunks, we intend to go back later this year and see what else is there. We may have stumbled upon a gold vein... The gold is coarse and has not traveled far. We found 4 specimens there also, which is a clear indication that gold was formed very close by... Will be interesting to find out how much is below the surface, beyond a metal detectors reach. Will keep you all informed..

  • WoW!!! I'm thinking about moving to Australia when I retire from the service. Could you tell what the black sand looking material is in what appears to be those dry creek beds @ between 4:45 to 5:15?

  • @HookFynn Its a rock called Magnetite, which has been heavily weathered. As you guessed by the name its highly Magnetic. When found in large amounts like in river beds it can make using a metal detector somewhat chaotic

  • That's what I thought. Is it concentrated fine grain amounts of it or large chunks lying in those washes? Ever tried panning some out?

  • @HookFynn This area is dry until winter. Once the torrential rain comes its like a wall of water, very dangerous.I would be afraid for my own life to go close to it. I'm certain if you panned and sluiced you would definitely find gold.

  • Great Stuff guys...cool video, great track and excellent finds!! Go Aussie Go!

  • Who found the 70 gram?

    Keep @ It and HH!!

  • I found the 70g =]

  • Beautiful man.. thanks for sharing

  • Great Video, Great Music and Fantastic Gold. Nice Job!

  • Can you tell me what the song is called? Great Video!

  • Deadmau5 - Not Exactly

  • thanks

  • Very cool........an the gold well I don't need to say anything about that - it speaks for it's self :)

  • I would much rather fing them gold nuggets then clad coins!!! Great Job

  • Hehe yea, was aiming for something different :)

Gold season is all the time, but during summer its too hot. (sometimes 50 degrees Celsius, 120 Fahrenheit )

The reason it floods is because the ground is so "dry" and hard the water literally just floats..

    Sounds silly, but its true

  • yeh we went in the summer 45 degrees can't even pick up the sand it's so hot, keeps you fit tho. but yeah gets real annoying when ur in that kind of heat and only finding half a staple. cool vid.

  • hehe worst is when you find a piece of wire hanging in a salt bush just above that 3ft hold you have just dug =]

  • lololol

  • So now the season starts in WA? Looks like recent floodings. Any small gold that you can drywash or pan for? Odd video! Nice though, not like everything else.
