  • hi school marching band cymbals: awesome.....less snare though snare is important...on this REMIX I can see the difference.

  • audio quality of the third guitar sucks... oh, wait... it's St.Flanger.

  • These aren't from 2007, I had these downloaded in 2004.

  • damn, i like the third guitar added in the remixing.

    its cool and kinda heavy

  • where is the solo?

  • Everyone just ignore the guy below, I've tried reasoning with the kid but he doesn't listen, he's just trying to troll everyone and thinks he's smart because he uses words with more than 2 syllables in it.

  • BeastLordofMetal is British, and he does not care to explain to me how a song is classified as emo or metal. Instead, he attempts to tell me that the very beginning of this song is simply a harmony. What a moron.

  • Listen to the last minute or so of master of puppets, a very similar harmony is used in that song. Harmonies like the one used in MOP inspired emo bands to use a similar noise in some of their songs.

The beginning to this song sounds similar to certain emo songs but that doesn't make it fucking emo. That's like saying arpeggios are emo if an emo band has used one.

Emo's took the idea of a harmony, and made their own version of it. Their version of a harmony is emo, not all harmonies.

  • @BeastLordofMetal It's a shame you're not going to reply back because you have flawed logic.

What you are saying is this: The Bible isn't Mormon. The Bible isn't Catholic. The Bible is the Bible.

Anyways, I never said the ENTIRE song was emo. I implied that the beginning of the song is the MOST emo I have ever heard in any Metallica song, and emo has NO place with Metallica. Why are you arguing?

  • @tangram0420 Not being a dick, but who are you to say that Metallica shouldn't have this sound or that sound? Metallica is Metallica, they do what they will. If they wanted to make an album with a emo vibe, then they have all rights in the world to make one. Sure, it may not be widely recieved, and it may alienate the audience, but they have done that with St. Anger.

Metallica is a beast of their own, no one but the members can decide on what to do.

  • @james30721 If Metallica wants to emo-ify their music, then they have every right to, but I sure won't be buying that album. Metallica, for the past 20 years, has not added any emo sounds to their music, so I think it's safe to say they decided to stick with Metal. (I could probably find a quote from one of the members saying that, but that's not necessary.)

St. Anger was not emo-ified, so that is irrelevant if it wasn't widely received. No Emo in Metallica.

  • @tangram0420 I never said St. Anger was"emo-fied". I said that what they done with St. Anger (the riffs, "trash can" drums, and no solos) alienated most of the hardcore fans who think they should only stick to thrash metal. A similar reaction would apply if they added an emo-like vibe. The reaction would almost happen if they made a pure country album, a hip hop album, or any other genre besides metal. The problem is not Metallica, it's the fans who think Metallica shod be playing music for them

  • @james30721 It's a marketing decision if Metallica wants to appeal to their fans. However, I am talking about this user who did a remix adding a emo beginning to the song. Emo has no place in Metallica. If it does, then let Metallica set that precedence.

  • @tangram0420 It doesn't sound emo to me. Personally, I think it adds to the song. But fan remixes are fan remixes.

  • @james30721 That's right. This was only my opinion. I don't know why some people (BeastLordofMetal) got some butt-hurt over me expressing my opinion.

  • @tangram0420 (not trying to get dragged into this) WILL YOU GUYS SHUT THE F*** UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC?!!

  • @thundergivesmeglee2 If you look at the time stamp of the comments, "4 days" was my last comment, you're a tad bit late with the "shut the fuck up" comment.

  • Why did you emo up the beginning? You've just disgraced Metallica.

  • @tangram0420 What the fuck are you talking about? Emo?

  • @BeastLordofMetal The beginning of the song is similar to "emo" songs, not to "metal" (or Metallica) songs. I was asking the uploader why he would add "emo" to Metallica. It disgraces the band. Metallica is not for emo boys or girls. Metallica is for the big boys and girls, not the pansy ones. Make sense? Or are you too dumb to understand cause you threw in a "fuck" which only serves the purpose of boasting up your ego. Go back to cutting your wrists, l8r.

  • @BeastLordofMetal Haha, pathetic child.

The beginning is not emo just because emo bands have used a similar sound in their songs. The sound you called emo, is called a harmony, it's used to give the song more life and energy, even if it fails to do so at times.

You don't like it? That's fine, but that sort of sound has existed for decades, long before emo bands became so popular.

As much as we all hate it, a lot of emo bands were inspired by bands like Metallica. Sorry to break it to you.

  • @BeastLordofMetal "A lot of emo bands were inspired by bands like Metallica." You just proved my point for me if that's true. If many Emo bands were inspired by Metallica, then that style of music clearly has no place in any Metallica song. I don't like, and neither does Metallica, if they do like it, they would add it to their songs. Metallica has no place for any type of emo harmony. Also, it's irrelevant if it existed for decades. Metallica doesn't use it, that's what's relevant.

  • @tangram0420 Harmony's are not emo you stupid degenerate.

But i can't be bothered to even waste my time explaining it to you any further, your just utterly clueless, so I'll leave you with this and if i see another fucking response from you, I'm just going to delete it from my inbox and ignore it, so you can waste your time trying to get the last word in this argument if it fools you into believing you've achieved a victory -

    (continued to the next comment)

  • sorry,but where's the guitar solo?

  • Bob Rock made 37 accounts and disliked this

  • Metallica is better without a remix, but i gotta admit this is pretty good!!!!!!

  • It sounds orgasmic... but I would still be embarrassed to have it in my iPod for fear someone would think it's the original.

  • @truthrj its accually drop d

  • @mrkiller771 Drop C

  • youtube -> yves paquet - st. anger

  • @ExilLarkdanx Lars' best stuff was done on AJFA no doubt about it. He's never equaled it.

  • this is st anger played in the justice period!!! i like that

  • I know who made these remixes it was Cliff he remixed them from where he is right now

  • Love st anger for what it is!!!no remixes and re-edits!!!!

  • This album gets better with time. I love this album. Great heaviness

  • i really like the remix, but it doesnt have that raw garage band feeling.

  • Dude why did you take out the heavy snare drum? Thats what made this album awesome. I mean sometimes its annoying, but hey your dealing with thrash metal here.

  • @Madman33434 St. Anger ain't a thrash record.

  • the intro sounded pretty cool, but other than that i didn't hear any real soloing just some leads.i also thought this remix would mean the drums were fixed so they no longer sound like trash cans, unfortunately they still do.

  • lO maximo !!

    metallica !

  • lO maximo !!

    metalica !

  • OOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @chironicalman Both freakin awsome!

  • great chorus :D love that intro as well!

  • @wattenstaafjeXL You suck big man cock if you think Metallica is lame fu you need to go listen to your justin beber

  • @MrMW95 i was kidding and waiting for reactions like you :P

    i like metallica:P

  • Comment removed

  • I think I might prefer the remix's...this still has that snare ping which I think is needed...otherwise it loses a lot of passion in the song

  • AH, amazing, St Anger has many gems that are under-rated and this is a fantastic remix :D

  • afedersin ama götüm gibi olmuş

  • still has the drum ping?

  • This the best st anger remix yet.. is there anywhere i can download it :D

  • Just one word: FACEPALM.

  • This. Is. Really. Fucking. Awesome.

  • Some parts I like better, others I like the original better. But, it's still fucking amazing.

  • I salute you sir, Its like metallica didn't suck that time..... the world is right again!!!!

  • This song sounds heroic...

  • very fucking nice man

  • Holy fuck, this is amazing.

  • this is much better than the original!

  • hey were did you find these song from?

  • When i get my lap top i am making a Machinma using this song

  • Who made this ''remix'' actually?

  • say what you want 0:49 - 0:1:01 is a kickass drum section

  • If you asked me, this killed the song... I'm not a huge fan of St. Anger, only good songs for me are Frantic, St. Anger, Some Kind of Monster, Sweet Amber and The Unnamed Feeling.

  • So where is the solo?

  • Shoulda added some growl to vocals hehe.

  • I prefer the original song

  • But...But it'very ORRIBLE!

  • Through the years of tallica...after Black album they did at best...10 songs that are tolerable?

  • I love this album and it just goes to show how when a album comes out by any band really people always have shit to talk about it but years later only start to get into it.

When a band takes a sharp turn left the fans get stuck on a 3 point turn

  • FUCKIN METALLlCAAAAAAAAAA YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS SONG IS SO FUCKIN EPICCCC

  • @MisterHotShotX chillex, and listen to the original song.

    it's waaaaaay better^^

  • whoever remixed this did great. however, they should have omitted 0:16-0:38. it really hurts the flow created by that beautiful intro.

  • oh my god, i jizzed when i heard this, this is an amazing remix!

  • niiiice

  • This is pretty fucking sick!

  • @ laynefuller come on, St Anger blew goats and the song St Anger is the worst pile of shit ever to come from, an othrwise, awesome band!, this version makes the song sound so much better, well done to whoever made it!!!

  • @whazatube False. The album is a great work. It suffered from a lot of problems, but the whole album was amazing.

  • Better composition

  • Where can I download this?

  • @FireGoldWolf download GoldWave, play and record.....

  • Not bad..Not bad at all...

  • i love the drum thing!

  • dude... metallica needs to find you.. its still st anger... but wow... this is great... i can hear the guitars through the whole song...

  • Where's the solo?

  • @G0vnah St. Anger had no solos through the whole album.

  • @krakljak I know that but the dude said on these remixes that there was a solo added.

  • @G0vnah ohh, didnt see that part.

  • Much much better, but the snare still sounds like tin which disappoints me :(

  • lol. YEEEHHHUUU SOLOS METALLLLLLL, I hate how metallica got slated for the St Anger, least they tried to do someting different, I have more respect for that then releasing the same album over and over just cus they knew it'd make profit *cough maiden cough* these aint really solos anyway, its just playing the same riff only an octave high and tremlo picking, all in all a waste of time but whatever

  • where was the solo - i must have missed it because the description said it had a solo

  • Remix 2007?, is this POP shit?...

    no

  • @SlayerPhantomLord lolmetallica

  • idk whatu guys mean i love lars's drums in st aanger

  • @teenagetechguy yeh finaly someone tht agres. larses drums are what made the sound of that album unique

  • @HarrisWuzHere yeh bro like when i hear that little climax in the song "then unnammed feeling" at the beginning of the song its so crazy i love it but the drums in this whole album are great including this song

  • i think its lars with to much snair drum. thats why ppl hate it. because these riffs a good

  • this still blows...you can't pollish a terd!!!!!!!!! everything metallica has done since the black album sucks!

  • @jsalarmco Dude, your opinion...

    Each thing for each taste...

  • @jsalarmco your an idiot!

reload is fairly crap but the rest of the albums, while not as good as the black album,

    are still way above average.

  • @jsalarmco it doesnt suck its just that they went with a difrent style of music after the black album to me they stoped being thrash after ...and justice for all they chaned there style and sound which not alot of other bands are brave enough to do

  • @jsalarmco yes you can polish a shit it just takes about a week... dont ask me how I know that

  • @jsalarmco Okay. I am a huge Metallica fan boy I hate to admit it. But to some extent i agree that the albums released after black have been pretty rubbish. However. There are songs from each album which are pretty cool. but like i said nowhere near the old stuff. you can listen to albums in their entirety but load and reload etc are all albums that you might like 1 song then just get bored. Plus. You can polish a turd but its still a piece of shit.

  • what is with everyone and the drums "oh its a ping and clanky sounding" Yeah know what else clangs, METAL as in the music their playing, i love the drums the drum gives it a distinct sound that, they can go outside the box and more ominous sound. its an amazing album. and METALLICA fan would agree

  • the deth klock version?

  • You know on wikipedia i saw metallica's album discography and it said.

"St. Anger II" for upcoming albums. And that the nearest release was gonna be a song called "The Unforgiven IV".

I saw it about a couple of days ago but now it's not there. Of course it's fake but it's a good fucking idea.

To come back with a sequel to their "worst" album and make it there best one yet.

It's time for tallica to b risky, i respect dey went back to roots with deth magnetic but this is a needed risk.

  • Better. Much Better.... Sigh.

  • where did the solos come from???

  • Its better than Justin Bieber!

  • @Zay0n haha

  • @Zay0n they were more angry on ...and justice for all

  • holy shit at 2:44

  • I learned to reall really enjoy this album. I managed to get past the drums and actually enjoy even the drum part. Its still a pretty crazy beat that larz does even if the snare should sound different.

  • Better but not good

  • This remastered version is WAAAAAAY better than the orginal....i liked the orginal but this is a hell of alot better

  • i like this version much better(; METALLICA FOR LIFE!!!

  • that was pretty damn good... try and make master of puppets better... i bet you cant.

  • 2 WORDS THAT MAKE THIS ALBUM SHIT and it has nothing to do with the drums... NO (FUCKING) SOLOS!

  • If St. Anger was done by someone else other than Metallica, everyone would love it.

  • @TheImorrtalOne Yeah, me and a friend of mine actually love this album, no lies, I think that they did a pretty good job aside from the absence of solos, and the snare sound. If someone went back and took the drum tracks from black, or some other older album (tho much older would be too far), and matched it somehow with the drum tracks for this; with some decent solos thrown in, Im sure people would be anxious to hear it to say the least

  • @GTAfan421

all my friends absolutely love St. Anger, they hated it tho a while back but i convinced em to listen to it and they jus loved it

  • I'm amused Bob Rock & Metallica chose what seems to be a trash can for a snare on this album.

  • @MattTheFunkyOne Yeah, Whered they get that snare from? Stomp?

  • I like the remix but the original is a little better

  • I really find this is a beautiful, Drums and all. I love this remix- adds power to its already amazing feeling of release it brings on.

  • nah...

  • A shit song is still a shit song, no matter if you put a cherry on top..

  • @Whit3King cherrys are gross

  • @adrianslilmusic my point exactly

  • @Whit3King hahahahaha you are fucking right

  • @Whit3King well at least its a piece of shit with a cherry on top, nothing wrong with admiring the cherry

  • Hmm, if it was done using the master copy of the song it would have been good, but this just sounds too cluttered.

  • God, this is horrible.

  • FAILNESS This remix officialy sucks!

  • Pretty sweet, but wish the snare was changed.

  • Comment removed

  • Good god, who made this?

  • dude who ever u r i want u to be a producer for my band :|)

  • like the harmony, felt there were plenty of other places to use that style in the song without going overboard too!

  • At first i already thought this was a pretty beast song but when i heard the beginning of this song it just.. I have no idea how to explain. It was just a purely awesome feeling :) Definatly one of my most favorite songs/album.

  • Would have loved to have seen a something from Tony Iommi and Can's drummer, Jaki Leibizeit

  • im so happy this isnt one of them stupid techno remixes

  • ooooh killer intro!!!!

  • /,,/ METAL!

  • this is 10 times better live

  • very cool

  • its AWESOME :)

i especially liked the intro ^^

at 4:32 this is the intro and is repeated again and imo it doesnt sound so good

i would prefer the video clip version remixed like this 'cause this version is too long

  • i heard this remix is downloadable, if it is does anyone know where i can download it

  • something tells me that if Metallica had this song sound like this... JUST THIS ONE SONG... St. Anger would get WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY more respect. and is this downloadable by any way. i love it!

  • completely agree

  • @key944 just go to video2mp3 com

  • this is a nice remix =D

  • wonder if metallica has heard the remix version

  • @metallicatrivium is they ever do i hope they play it like the remix

  • In my opinion, it should have been done similar to this. The individual songs were great, with heavy and fast riffs, but all together long and drawn out.

  • where is the solo?

  • Comment removed

  • I certainly love the whole remix, but like the intro, some things just appear/disappear very quickly.

  • @bovisparvifluminulum ...agreed. the lead guitaring doesnt sound like kirk's "style" either

  • yeah, but all of St Anger didn't sound like Metallica's style (whether it be trash or mellow)

  • WOW! Awesome! Loved it!
