The type of instrument I have here is called a swan-neck 13-course baroque lute and was used late in the baroque and into the classical periods. The lower strings are only played with the right hand thumb and played open like a harp. They're actually set up to be plucked two at a time: a bass string and an octave above.
it is amazing... thanks a lot... i love it. I play the lute that is played with the pick. I've never seen the one you are playing before... but really innovative idea to expand the lower notes.

So basically the lower pitch strings you only play one note right? Bcoz there is no where to put your fingers?!
