This is not music. It sucks. I hear no melody or harmony. I hear a bunch of guys screaming stuff into a mic. When are people gonna get back to the good music where you can actually hear whats going on and not just a bunch of crap? AC/DC anyone?
Your definition of "good" is standardized and boring to me. Perhaps some of us would prefer music that throws caution to wind and focuses on being raw with sincerity and passion instead of aiming to please the masses with overly polished highly produced clear channel rock.

Screamo isn't hardcore dude, although the two genres share a few common traits they are inherently different. They aren't screamo dude. Listen to the actual music, put the vocals aside for a bit. The timing they use is different, the chord progressions they use are different. Underoath aren't even remotely screamo.
If you just want to start a band for the sake of playing in a Real Screamo band, then I suggest that you roll over and die or something along those lines.
Play what you want, or you won't last long anyway. If what you want to play is real Screamo, then fine, you've made it, but do not go around trying to play Screamo for the sake of playing in a "real" Screamo band, because that makes you no better than the sellouts who are getting told by the their record labels what to play and how to sound like.

i'm more of a punk i guess you could say and have always been more into that whole deal. but more recently i've been getting a lot more into screamo/emo/post-punk kind of stuff. great job on all of these comps, i know a lot of the bands but there are a lot i don't know too so i've got some new stuff to check out!
So, my band was included in this, and it was a surprise b/c we weren't popular by any means. The point is this: I rarely come across bands I like anymore. Who is around now with a sound along these lines?

I actually consider all of these band post-punk and none of them fall into emo at all. Emo bands are closer to shoegaze in a way. Punk screamo would be a bands more along the lines off Beloved, Hopes.Fall, This Day Forward. All of these bands are excellent, they're just all post-punk

I wouldn't think twice about pressing charges/suing you for damages should you decided to assault me.
Either way, should you decide to follow through with your threat you'd be facing two charges.
1. Assault, which in California is punishable with a maximum fine of 1,000 dollars and a maximum of 6 months in county jail.
2. Criminal Threats, which is punishable with a maximum of one full year in either state or county jail.
That's a maximum of 18 months jail time plus damages/fines/fees.
