Now I own a 74 Nova With stock Straight six, bench seats and three on the tree. I'm slowly restoring it. I want to keep the inline six, but does anyone know of how to get one to performance specs?
@6669990 but yea, It's got I think a Rochester single barrel, no A/C. Not quite sure but I think they are hydraulic lifters? I saw another vid on here about someone putting lumps into the valve body, to help control and smooth airflow to the cylinders.
Ford's do suck. I had a 93 Mustang LX.. It was a 4cyl but had 8 freakin spark plugs! and you had to remove most of the air intake to get to the 4 on the other side. Also the automatic transmission on that car sucked ass, It went out on me, then was going out on me again (a year later) but I crashed it into the back of a GMC yukon and didnt have to deal with it any longer.
Lol you got that backwards sister, FORDS WONT START 80% OF THE TIME. Thats why tons of people put chevy motors in fords. Me and my cousin do demolition derbys and thats all people use is SMALL BLOCK CHEVYS. They take fords and put an sbc in it cuz fords dont run for dick.
Pro street my asss regular Nova with a mis match nose on it. Tube your car lower it put a 16/32 tire and maybe you will have a Pro/Street car.Not this Stock Looking Nova Do you know what Pro streeet even is?
I built this car and it's a 74. As is said below, the front end is a 1969 which is why the marker light is red not orange. the rear end is a 74 with the crash shocks removed and the filler removed and the bumper sucked in. Radiator support, hood and fenders on front are the same from 68-74. It's not rocket science.....
look at the tail lights i love how people get on here and tell other people that they are wrong when the are the ones that built it and argu with them cracks me up nice car man very nice
It bolts right up but you have to drill two holes for the bumper brackets to bolt to the frame.68-74 novas were basically the same from the doors forward.
beatiful car! i have a 74' myself but would you be able to tell me if i could fit a 68-72' front/rear bumper on my 74' because that is about the one thing i cannot stand is the bumpers. thanks!
do you know what kind of valvetrain it has in it? im trying to get my 76 to sound the same

This the way Chevrolet should have built the 73-74 Novas. Kind of looks like a smaller version of the 70-72 Chevelle.

why did u fck up a nice 74 buy putting an earlier front peices on, should have stayed with what the car was, bt I guess its nice

nice but not pro street chief .we will call it a nice street piece ok. the 68,73 style ass end is much nicer .
iamcyberpunk68 2 years ago
"Pro Street" is a style, that is not "Pro Street" by traditional standards. It's a nice Nova though. ;)
Mellover3306 2 years ago
That looks like it might be minitubbed so it could be sort of Prostreet.

your a bright one they put chevy motors in fords cause chevy parts are cheaper cause they aient worth a shit.
xxxrobxxxzombiexxx 2 years ago
If chevy wasnt worth a shit, you ford morons wouldnt use chevy engines.
Ford sucks ass.
Dustin91 2 years ago
like i said Chevy parts are cheaper because they have lower quality standards that's why we use Chevy motors.

It bolts right up but you have to drill two holes for the bumper brackets to bolt to the frame.68-74 novas were basically the same from the doors forward.

Yes, it is. It just has a 1969 front clip on it.

That is not a 1974 nova
smallblockpower93 2 years ago
damn right its not a 74 the reflector lights are in the grill and the novas before 73 have the orange lights on the side fender.
twiztid3055 2 years ago
Its a 73-74 Nova, look at the rear side windows and theres no vent windows in the door glass. The taillights are a dead give away also.

That's one badass Nova you have there. I love how it has the 69 front end on a 74 body, and the motor sounds awesome!
