- He was known as a Muhadith (Leaders among the memorizers of Hadith) in his time/locality
- He was taken as a captive by the Romans and spent one and a half years in imprisonment. He was forced to give up Islam but he stayed steadfast. During that time, he learned Greek and other Roman sciences and arts.
- He died at the age of 92 in the year 535 Hijri on 2nd of Rajab.
- He was still sharp in memory even at that old age.
(The above info is taken from Seyar A3laam An-Nubala' by Adh-Dhahabi)
- One of his most famous students is Imaam Ibn-Al-Jawzi
- He was also called Al-Ansaari, Al-Baghdaadi, Al-Hanbali (due to his preference of Hanbali school of thought in Fiqh), and Qaadhi Al-Marastaan (Judge of Al-Marastaan/Al-Maaristaan).
- So what is Al-Marastaan/Al-Maaristaan? It's a derivative of the persian word "BeeMaaristaan". Baghdaad was one of the first cities in the world to establis a medical facility called "Bimaaristaan" which in time came to be known as "Al-Marastaan"/Hospital.
- He was a great grand son of the Sahabi (Companion of the Prophet) Ka'ab bin Malik, who was known as one of the "Poets/Orators of the Prophet". Ka'ab is also known as one of the three companion who tarried behind at te Battle of Tabik. Allah absolved them by revealing the verse "And Allah did forgive the three whom the Prophet left till for them the earth, as cast as it is, was straitened..." [At-Taubah:118]
Haha, Dr. Imad Bayoun was in this, and the legendary Cal Poly MSA president, Suhaib Alzubi. Wow, I'm blown away just by this. But, on a more serious note I like the concept but the sound could have been clearer, and more frequent changes of view (even in the same scene) would look a lot better, I think. Nice job.
hell yea!!

After posting the last message, I thought I should provide some info that I could contribute towards this work:
-Imam Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Abdul Baqi was born in the year 442 Hijri on 10th of Safar in Baghdad, Iraq.

Nice effort for the first time. I have the following suggestions to improve this further:
1. Provide an online link to the biography of Qadhi Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Abdul Baqi Al-Ansari. I think it would be quite hard to find it though...
2. Remove the part about "Jahangir Pasha". No one is going to get that joke.

the storyline is pretty good.. but the acting and cinematography need some work;
i think people might have to be a bit older to get some of the jokes though
