My grandma's westie gets really pissy if you talk too loud and he's sleeping. He'll roll around and try to get in a position where he can't hear you until finally he barks at you and leaves the room. It's so cute and funny.

@wubie92 that is awesome! I love how they can get such attitudes when they're sleepy. Our other westie likes to sleep at the end of the bed, but if you move your feet in the night she growls at you then jumps off the bed in a huff. LOL

@tmwddp6 My westie Bonnie does exactly the same thing. She doesn't growl so much as "sighs" and jumps down from the bed, then goes and curls up in her own bed and settles down with a *grunt* as if to say "Can I get some sleep now?"!!

@Kieerannn We actually have two now and they don't shed much at all, when they're puppies they go through a stage where they lose their puppy coat as their adult hair comes in but after that if you keep them brushed once or twice a week, there's not much shedding at all. Ours do not bark, they are good about alerting us as far as people being in our yard or at our door(which we've encouraged) but they are not what I consider to be a yappy dog.

@TheJugglingPShow Thank you for watching. I'm glad your westie is celebrating a long life however I do know what you mean in wishing them young. We avoid our two westies birthdays because we are in full denial of them getting any older. We keep kidding ourselves into thinking they'll live forever. They most certainly are man's best friend and they become such a part of the family.
