I never really liked this song, but this version/arrangement is VERY cool!! It has much more soul and flavor (IMHO), and I like this version much better than the origional .
I Actually had the Honor to speak to Robert @ theatre St Denis In Montreal During @ Tour in 1991 . This guy is the most down to Earth Guitarist i ever met . Such a Genuine guy. Real so Real no Pretentous or plastic bone in his Entire body . his talent extends far beyond the spectrum of blues .
he has worked with guitar greats lee Ritenour ,Eric Clapton Jeff Beck . just to name a few . the Definition of " FEEL " IS Certainly Audible when grooving to his music
I been listening to both Cray and Bonamassa since I was 13, and singing blues in Memphis, but it gives me that happy happy feelin every time..BLUEZ on...
@lotorobly that unknown "s*o*B" just sold out the echo arena in liverpool, as he sells out all over the world and has played the albert hall, just so you know
I was telling people about him 11 years ago and they just smirked. As if all the great guitar players had been born. Closed minded mutha fukkas. Rest in peace Gary Moore. You were lost too soon but there are others to carry on.
plotchman my jaw was hangin on the floor,,,i said who the hell is this guy ... my 8 yr old was tellin me to shut it off he wanted to watch,, i carly ... needles 2 say rotten kid didnt get his way that night ... btw he now loves joe b also i am goin to see him nov 7 2011 beacon theatre nyc .. CANT WAIT also he is next guiter king when the big 3 croak jp, ec, j b ... rock n fn roll
@plochman30. Totally agree. I love that smug feeling of "Get a load of THIS SH*T!" that first time you hit play for a guitar-phile who's never heard of JB.
I am jealous of those who are just discovering JB. I remember how blown away I was when I first heard him play...I am still astounded everytime I hit play but nothing compares to the "where the heck did this guy come from" feeling I had listening to that first track!
@plochman30 Aweeeeeeeeesome! I just discover this dude! Es-pec-ta-culaaaaarr!! And this version of tracy's original is reaaaaaaally superior! (ni hablar de Robert, Lee y Cía!) "where the heck did this guy come from!"
@plochman30 LOL I know the feeling. First time I ever heard him was a CD at a friend's house when she was FORCING me to listen..... i was busy booking concerts at the time and looking for a header for the paola roots festival in paola, ks. Needless to say, I booked him almost instantly... after talking to his manager. The second time I heard him was live at the festival, and it damned near brought me to my knees.... just him, his bassist, and drummer.... friggin INCREDIBLE.
Dude, first time I saw the Joe was at Fiddlers Green in Denver. It was BB Kings Blues Festival. There was Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jimmy Vaughan W/LuAnn Barton, And Joe. He came out and said "Hello Denver, My name is Joe Bonamassa, I'm from New York City. The Crowd went nuts. We were ALL from New York City at that time. It was just two weeks after 9/11. Never miss him when he comes through. Hope he comes through with Beth Hart in May 2012.
Hey.... stratitis! Check out Monty Montgomery's cover of 'Little Wing'... Its like Chuck Berry said.. ''Can pla a guitar like he's ringing a bell'...!!! He tears that Hendrix cut 'limb from Limb'..
Saved your channel to 'my-favorites'.. I'll be back when I can 'dig-in'for a full meal!
Thanks for the posts! (boogie woogie deeeeeeeeeeep down in my soul!'.
