A legnagyobb probléma, hogy nem láthatjuk az operákat, különböző előadókkal. Csak a részletekben gyönyörködhetünk. Egyik előadó csodálatosabb a másiknál, egyik előadás a másiknál. Nincs ez jól,hogy csak a tehetősek juthatnak hozzá.
La Gheorghiu sa cantare superbamente, è bellissima, e si muove divinamente. Al diavolo a chi insiste su questa cosa (falsa) che non sa recitare. Vorrei vederli a cantare come canta LEI, e contemporaneamente recitare come fa LEI!
Me encanta la intensidad de sus actuaciones. La Gheorghiu es fabulosa. Odio a SCARPIA!!!!! Son buenos como actores y como cantantes. Gracias Puccini por esta ópera!
I like very much this act, music reflect the tension between characters. As for Raimondi age I don't see any problem;he is still very attractive man and a convincing Scarpia.
@emacasta I think that whether he is an attractive man or not doesn't come into it. In fact, it's probably more useful if Scarpia is rather unattractive. It would only add to the dark atmosphere of the subsequent scenes.

And cannot Scarpia be a more younger sexier fellow? Alagna is utterly convincing in such pain and anguish, I nearly wept upon seeing the laceration drip streams of blood down his contorted face while Tosca tends to him!
Now I don't want to criticize. It happens with opera singers but really I don't like it. Yes, Angela Gheorgiu has a great voice, great technique, and terrific acting chops. But she's only great because she is clearly evoking Maria Callas. She wants to be Callas with all her heart and soul and it's Callas she pays homage to in all her performances of Tosca, Traviata, Juliette, Leonora, etc. But I do love Gheorgiu. She's NEVER boring. Great style
I WASN'T judging anyone's Italian ... I was judging someone's logic. Honestly, isn't it rather silly to question a native speaker's ability to sing in his own language?

I went to her performance at Cov. Gdn. thinking it would be a performance to die for. I've never been so disappointed in my life - and I'm a fan of hers!
Bravo Angela
The strangest Tosca-film I ever seen. Gheurghiu is awfully mannered, Alagna' s vioce is two size smaller, than nessesery, you can just trust in your old freind, Raimondi, who gives us really Scarpia. Direction is very old fashioned. Puccini, the great revolutioner would be very unstiafiaed with it!
Are you saying that sutherland has sung tosca ,?Really? how could she ? I mean for tosca you not only need a rich voice but plenty of temperment !!she has not got any of that!!
Sutherland never sung Tosca, only one time and only some parts with Tito Gobbi. He wanted her to sing with him, but she never wanted to sing Tosca. ^^
Great voices and all the best singers of the opera .

Why must Tosca wear red? Why not an angelic white tulle and belgium lace, thereby signifying her chaste purity!
gloria25031 2 years ago
Because red stands for passion, in the first act she sometimes wears white, which quite fits, I think. ^^
