  • Great voices and all the best singers of the opera .

Egyik előadó csodálatosabb a másiknál, egyik előadás a másiknál.

  • i love opera more than tv shows :)

  • sexiest Tosca&Scarpia!!

  • cuesto scarpia di raimondi me fa svanir d amore bravo maestro

  • ruggero raimondi magnifico melhor scarpia seculo 21 bravo maestro

  • I as a writer would love to write her biography

Vorrei vederli a cantare come canta LEI, e contemporaneamente recitare come fa LEI!

  • Mui bela opera me encanta

  • Ruggiero Raimondo is a Bass. I am surprised at his undertaking a baritone role and a difficult one at that! He is excellent.

  • Raimondi is a baritone NOT a tenor. In fact, one of the best.

    Great opera with political elements.

  • Raimondi is a baritone NOT a tenor. In fact, one of the best.

  • QUE LE DICE SCARPIA A FLORIA? AFLOJAS?

  • 6:38... most evil tenor ever.

  • from 9:13 to the end is the most dramatic and potent parts in history of opera in my opinion. Tosca is a master work.

  • Me encanta la intensidad de sus actuaciones. La Gheorghiu es fabulosa. Odio a SCARPIA!!!!! Son buenos como actores y como cantantes. Gracias Puccini por esta ópera!

  • As good as this is, so much is lost when these singers aren't performing live.

  • Gheorghiu is very much her own singer. I'm a big Callas fan but Gheorghiu makes you think only of Gheorghiu. Superb.

  • I like very much this act, music reflect the tension between characters. As for Raimondi age I don't see any problem;he is still very attractive man and a convincing Scarpia.

  • @emacasta I think that whether he is an attractive man or not doesn't come into it. In fact, it's probably more useful if Scarpia is rather unattractive. It would only add to the dark atmosphere of the subsequent scenes.

  • That Vittoria was magnificent. The singing is so powerful and passionate and the diction is also very good.

  • You may want a younger Scarpia, yes. But many women (also a lot of girls) think that THIS Scarpia is far sexier than THIS Mario.

  • Definitely!!!!

  • Much more sexy! Expecially, than THIS Mario!!!

    I'm totally agreeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • I think this Scarpia's the sexiest, hands down !!!

And I am in my twenties...

  • I'm 18 and i think the same like you, hehe

    :-)

  • Why must Tosca wear red? Why not an angelic white tulle and belgium lace, thereby signifying her chaste purity!

  • Because red stands for passion, in the first act she sometimes wears white, which quite fits, I think. ^^

  • Now I don't want to criticize. It happens with opera singers but really I don't like it. Yes, Angela Gheorgiu has a great voice, great technique, and terrific acting chops. But she's only great because she is clearly evoking Maria Callas. She wants to be Callas with all her heart and soul and it's Callas she pays homage to in all her performances of Tosca, Traviata, Juliette, Leonora, etc. But I do love Gheorgiu. She's NEVER boring. Great style

  • You are so right about Gheorghiu.

  • hi Mariel! thanks for this video =) i like this tosca

  • Raimondi is such a foxxxx

  • magnifica.

  • I just love the second act of Tosca, so powerful, dramatic, and Gheorghiu and Raimondi in it...everything's perfect.

  • Mmmm I love the music starting from 4:25 such a brilliant orchestration, this opera is so beautiful and Puccini a so wonderful composer

  • yes...finally we can say that puccini is one of best composer ever!

  • This is the best opera of all times!

  • Raimondi is astounding--his sense of the dramatic moment never flags, despite the extraordinarily high level of his singing. A Scarpia for the ages.

  • Are you Italian?I am,and I totally disagree.

  • This is a reply to Kokodog11

  • @kokodog11 Ummm ... isn't he Italian? The how can his Italian be bad?

  • @90lysander How can you judge anyone's Italian, you from US?

  • I WASN'T judging anyone's Italian ... I was judging someone's logic. Honestly, isn't it rather silly to question a native speaker's ability to sing in his own language?

Sheesh .... people on YouTube are so touchy!

  • Amazing

  • feirce bitch! Love her!

  • i migliori Scarpia di sempre:

    01: Ruggiero Raimondi (Karajan)

    02: Tito Gobbi (De Sabata)

    03: Giuseppe Taddei (Karajan)

    04: Samuel Ramey (Sinopoli)

    05: Cornel MacNeill (Sinopoli)

  • Raimondi superbo.... magnifico...

  • I saw her as Violetta in La Traviata at the Met last year and she was stupendous!!

  • mmmm...she's a nice soprano, but she's not a good actress..she's so mannered and this is

highlighted comparing her with Raimondi! He is really Scarpia!

  • Your wrong she is a good actress.

  • This is for Leyladancer's comment.

  • Mmm.... Why I'm wrong... I don't like her way of acting...I think this it's matter of taste!

  • this is my favorite opera well this and la boheme.

  • this is the best opera of all times. they are fantastics opera singers may be, this is the best production of tosca that I have seen on my life.

  • Opera is dramatic. It is not overkill.

  • this is the best performence I have seen from raimondi. he really turns into scarpia, it gives me chills.

  • 5:00 - door and cry sound fantastic together

  • I love this opera.

  • I went to see this opera tonight 5/6 and it was amazing. Bravo!

  • Definitely the best part of the opera.

  • what are you seeing

  • Hermoso, realmente...

    Adoro a Angela!

  • What passion! What power!

    BRAVO! BRAVO!BRAVO!

  • I've seen the entire film.

Gheorghiu, Alagna and Raimondi are AMAZING!

    I love it

Bravo Angela

  • I very like Angela´s Tosca! It´s great part for her voice a she´s wonderful in this role :)

  • The strangest Tosca-film I ever seen. Gheurghiu is awfully mannered, Alagna' s vioce is two size smaller, than nessesery, you can just trust in your old freind, Raimondi, who gives us really Scarpia. Direction is very old fashioned. Puccini, the great revolutioner would be very unstiafiaed with it!

  • I guess i have to agree with you - I suppose this she is the best you can find these days.

  • She is only ok. I have heard better Tosca

Ie: Tebaldi/Callas - i found her voice not too strong.

  • It's always the same phrase... They are death! We leave here and now.

  • We have videos and recordings of the two great

ones - She does not have a great voice,

You need a powerful voice for Tosca. Sorry.

  • Don't be. It's like Picasso and Dali. You will not find another like them. But you have others interesting painters.

  • We all have heard Tebaldi, Callas, Sutherland. What's your point?

  • Are you saying that sutherland has sung tosca ,?Really? how could she ? I mean for tosca you not only need a rich voice but plenty of temperment !!she has not got any of that!!

  • Sutherland never sung Tosca, only one time and only some parts with Tito Gobbi. He wanted her to sing with him, but she never wanted to sing Tosca. ^^

  • Me ha hecho llorar y todo, Alice. Cómo te pasas... XD
