At The Gates - are fucking awesome. And influenced most every other metalcore band on the planet. Which could be viewed as good or bad, depending on preference. There are a few bands of that style who do this really well - like The Black Dahlia Murder and Darkest Hour. And then you get bands like As I Lay Dying, who are just plain bullshit.
