Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it easier to play guitar hero on the controller instead of with a guitar controller? You don't have to strum, and all the controls are a lot closer together, so it's a lot easier to reach them quickly to hit the notes.

hmm. i've got a few comments here. learning with the controller is nice, I had to do it for awhile, but using the guitar controller has very specific advantages. being able to hit chords effortlessly is nice, aswell as being able to utilize hammer ons/pull offs.
