  • THE NAME OF THIS SONG is "Torna" by Luigi Denza.

    I only know this because Evgeniy sang me to sleep with this one for a VERY long time. Eventually, after years of asking around, someone identified the tune for me. I really hope this never leaves YouTube because I have yet to find a recording of it anywhere else and it just makes my soul leap every time I hear it.

Italian composer - Luigi Denza (24.02.1846, Castellamare di Stabia near Naples - 26.01.1922, London). Was singing professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Wrote an opera "Wallenstein" and hunderts of songs. In collaboration with Peppino Turco wrote the most popular - "Funiculi, funicula". Won a lawsuit against Richard Strauss(case-"Aus Italien").Italian words-Rocco E. Pagliara.

  • it has to do with the relationship between pitch and tone. generally higher pitch moves to the head and lower moves to the chest
