i agree pal i worked on the fairs for years back in the 80s but i moved to the US in 90,and asked the local fair if they needed any help pulling down, but they said no i needed insurance to work on em, people are allways gettin sued so the old ways are fadin out its fuckin sad really!!
I was still aloud to spin cars last August and im planning on spinning them next season and the showman i work for hasnt mentioned it but time will tell lol The standing on the grating rule has come in already. But i dont know if its compulsory as the last time i actually worked on the waltzer in august we still alloud people to stand onm them
love the classic artwork on the tubbs not overdecorated rowlands grooverider is a fast one as is colin de veys de veys is a superb looking waltzer music on this is tops
I once went on a waltzer at a fair in Kingston - not sure what model it was but is was so fast I was literally sliding up the back of the seat - I thought I was gonna be a gonna! I pulled every muscle in my arms & back trying to keep myself in the car and ached for days after!!! ... The Waltzer is the ultimate ride for experiencing force and motion ! You can keep the rest !!!
i used to work on silcocks waltzer back in the 80s it was some of the best times ive ever had, but i moved to the US and all they have is fuckin tilt a wirls,i would love to see this machine up close
If any of you would like to buy original fairground ride jingles and the software to play them at a heavily discounted price just go to ebay and type (ride jingles) into the search bar and you will be amazed at how many jingles are for sale on one cd or dvd.
Hebborns Waltzer Is Just Simply The Best In The Uk, well done to the guys who work on the ride & the owner of it. looking forward to seeing it in the spring again
Holy s*** you Brits know how to make a good ride. There is NO WAY we would have this ride in the States - with the workers walkin around pushing the cars, and no barrier blocking the crowd from the cars.
In the States, we have the "Tilt a Whirl" which is similar, but without workers pushing the cars at the right times, you might get just one good spin. The rest of the time, you sit in your car bobbing around the bumps.
its a very nice looking waltzer when its fully built up, its a shame its not always built up fully, id love to work this waltzer, rode it so many times :D
Is William the one in his 30's?? Btw who is that fitty with brown hair who walks past camera at 1 min 34. See her working on the ride is she a Hebborn??
