@Bleachoryoka probably because anime on tv is dubbed and you know how a lot of weaboos and so called "hardcore real anime fans" feel(usu. unfairly) about dubs. I feel it has nothing to do with bad voice acting or "Americanizing" but rather just because they love to hear japanese. i do feel some reasons for watching subs like the concept of particular original intentions, still they blow it way out of proportion bitching about it to ppl who dont see it as a big deal...some dubs rly do suck tho

You don't have to act to go to a convention, you can just walk around in a costume and speak to others with the same interests as you have, or ditch the costume as a first timer, just walk around and find out what it all is about
