How would compare the Splawn Quick Rod head to a regular Marshall amp? Does the Splawn still give you that Marshall roar?

@hawg427 The Splawn sounds like a Plexi , JCM800, and a modded JCM800 all rolled into one. I have been a Marshall guy for many years. I have owned a Plexi or 2 , JMP & modded JCM800 . I have to say the Splawn is everything I need out of any of my old Marhsll heads.

@SQUIDMUSIC1 I was just telling somebody that I only found One used Quick Rod on Craigs List and the buyer told me it really needed a new amp box. Only 1-2 on Ebay. I guess once somebody gets a Splawn they don't get rid of it. With a long wait once you order your Splawn I guess I'll have to order it soon to get it by Springtime. LOL Just wondering about the Cabs. I love the Greenback sound and I guess the Small Block 4x12 sounds somewhat like that. My buddy has 2 Lynchback speakers I coulget.

Duncans sound so much better on these charvels than the stock dimarzio do.

I swapped my tone zone/evo set out for a JB/59 on my red one and the white so cal got a demon/jazz set. sounds worlds better. I like the way you made yours Humbucker/single coil

Should be compatible as the body is exactly the same as a fender strat.

@thedancenight I used a pickguard from Warmoth;. It is a close fit but the neck pocket on the Charvels is 2 and 1/4" while the typical Fender neck pocket is 2 and 3/16". I had to open the neck pocket up slightly on the pickguard with a Dremel.

@SQUIDMUSIC1 Hi! Aside from the neck pocket, how was the rest of the fit? Mainly, do the screw holes line up? Warmoth has some really sweet colors. I'd love to get one from them if I don't have to drill new pilot holes in the body of the guitar. Also, is your SoCal USA made? Not sure if there's a difference in pickguards, but I have the USA model. Thanks!
