  • @lasermark4 @lasermark4 This was taken March 14th 2011 at Maruetsu Super Market in Narashino-shi in Chiba Prefecture located on route 14.

Since this video was taken I have left Japan April 12th and returned to America. Leaving my Job and life there.

about 2 weeks after this video was taken shelves started to get filled again and things returned to something normal. But, due to all the misinformation out there you don't know how safe the food is in my opinion.

  • Thank you for sharing. Could you please show More videos of how people are coping with the shortages.

    Thank you

    Pete

  • it's not because of the quake/tsunami itself. it's because all the idiots panic and hoard as much food as they can, depriving their neighbors of the food they need. stores respond by price gouging to take full advantage of the hysteria.

they say people become more noble during disasters, but obviously people get a lot more greedy too.

  • candy and raw meat.

    meal of a real man.

  • Why do so many people in Japan wear debris/surgical masks?

  • @anonymootle Hay Fever season right now. and also so if they are sick with a cold and are out they don't spread it around to other people.

  • @Fallout3Japan Interesting. I admire their selflessness. I wish sick people on the train here in Perth would wear them :/ lol

  • @anonymootle You are so right, we stupidly allow sick people to go to work & infect the whole office & workforce, along with all the people traveling on public transport. If I was an employee, I would not allow anybody to show up to work sick. But we actually enforce the opposite & fool ourselves that this is productive. It's beyond insane, it's total idiotracy .

  • @anonymootle The intelligent people in Japan are wearing surgical masks because there is debris & pollution everywhere for the earthquake & tsunami along with dead bodies of people, animals, rodents & insects. Lack of infrastructure like sewerage & clean water supply's. On top of all of this it's winter & people natural immunity goes down during winter because of less vitamin D from the sun. Then there is the radiation health issues. Gee breath that all in, I would want a gas mask.

  • Also this was the 3rd shop I went to to stock up. This was actually a good haul compared to the other 2 places unfortunately

  • Wow, you never see anything missing from these shops, they are allways filled up.

  • its weird seeing people shopping with empty baskets

  • @itubeonu north korea style
