The whole point of the race is to bring a car worth $500 and have fun. If you bring a BMW 7 series it's obviously going to get claimed. Lots of other racing series uses a claim system to keep it fair but they crush it to go along with all the other fun madness of the event.

The over all Car is well over 5 Grand including all of the saftey Features, The only thing fator of 500 is the acutall car and the engine more or less, the saftey feasutes costs are not factored in. People can find all sorts of nice cars at a junkyard.

They cheated by spending more than $500 on the car. The rule states that your car (minus wheels, tires, and safety equipment) must cost $500 or less to build, including the price of the car.

it is explicitly stated in the rules of the race that the proprietors are allowed to destroy any car at any time, for any reason they see fit. They could simply throw a dart at the roster and destroy whoever's car it lands on if they wanted to.

If you can get a car for less than 500 bucks its fair game. If you somehow get a car like that for 500 bucks its fair game, but have to be ready for things like the people's curse. Its bullshit. There are better ways to deal with cheaters but the series emhpasizes humor just as much as competition. Something for everybody I guess.

The whole system if oyu ask me is flawed. For example, the logical thing to do would be to always vote the fastest guy out so everyone places 1 spot better. And instead of builing the fastest car you can build, you build a car that looks really slow, and spend the first 12 hours sandbagging so you don't get voted out. Personally, sounds stupid. But I'm sure some others would enjoy this more than a real serious lo-cost enduro series.

I agree with you about the bad qualities of a lot of American car... But, this is a series call Lemons, and when you enter there you have to follow the rule.

1st: The car must worth 500 bucks, include sponsorship and garage worker but not fuel and any safety equipment. This BMW worth at least 9k$. It one laps penalties be 10$ overs 500$:850 laps penalties.

2nd: The guy who proof to be the biggest jerk on the track, judge be the spectator, is car gone to be destroy. And be at -850 is stupid.
