That look s awesome. Only if I had the materials for my S.S. Project on ancient artifacts. I was looking for a video for how to make a Roman sword and this was a good one.
Nice work. A few tips..a sharper point would be nice and add a metal bolster between the hilt and the blade to prevent the metal blade driving into the wood if you thrust with it also let the tang go all the way thru the pommel ,add a washer then peen it over like rivit. good job on the scabbard.
i love your method i am making a spatha myself and i found that your method of making the hilt worked beutifully your gladius turned out nicely as well i cant wait to show you my finished work!
