It's my estimate that it was around 100' as mentioned in the write up. Also look at 2:20 to 2:50 and you'll see the cloud swirl around it and a big section vanish in 30 seconds. It would have to be some special kind of balloon to do that eh?? Maybe a balloon so special it might be classed as a UFO ?? Don't tell me they sell them ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!
i didn't really notice a part of it disappear, but the way you estimated it's size is a little worrying, i've heard people do similar things about known UFO hoaxes and be demonstrably completely wrong, i honestly don't think human beings in general are very good at judging the sizes of objects so far away with no reference, at least without the proper tools
it's a UFO in the end, anyone who tries to extend that to "aliens!" needs to re-evaluate their mechanisms for judging reality
@IzzyBunneh We did have a refference, the 2 planes that flew right by it, you can hear us talking about them in the video. They were mid size miltary planes, they did a flyby right near it, probably because it was in a major airport flight path (Luton), as I said it was about 100 foot long.

on 0:17 through 0:22 u can see another ufo just passing by super fast...and i was actually able to pause it when it was passing by...and it was cigar shaped..u can clearly see it!!
@SlotCarSuperstar After the battery ran out on camera I continued to watch it for 10 to 15 mins but I was cookong a BBQ at the time so had to keep popping round the corner to keep an eye on it.
At one point it went really high, maybe 10,000' up but came back down to 2 to 3,000' but I didn't see it leave the scene unfortunately!
Also 1 of the 2 military planes that we are talking about at the start of the vid came back for a second flyby.
Well it is an excellent video and ive studied it time and time again as it drifts up into the clouds...i wonder how many others watched it...did you contact the local press back then?

I saw the very same thing in Hackney east London about in May 2004. It was also seen by a few other family members and my neighbors who took a pic of it.
This isn't fake, me my mum and my dad got pics of this UFO just standing there in the sky but started turning vertical and then horizontal, then when were looking at the pics, in the last 2 pics had a black dot flying in the sky nearby !! Also look up 'cigar shaped UFO' on YouTube there is tons of vids about them!!!
@xatPanda Funny you should mention the black dots in the pic mate cause if you watch this vid carefully there are some black dots that fly past the screen on several occasions, might be insects or birds flying by but I've taken stills from the original vid which is better quality than the YT version and they look too big and fast. First one goes left to right at 0:21 seconds.

It was moving like a floating balloon though, randomly, and since i have seen 'solar balloons' on youtube I hink the object i saw was one of those...but cant be sure. I just witnessed this identical phenomenon here in denver colorado. It's night full moon, one of these was breaking off the leading edge of a huge dark moist cloud. I noticed the violent spinning of the cloud and recognized the face shape like cloud such as at 4:28, the shape the cloud gets when they draw it toward them, just look at that cloud move, thats processing to be sure.They noticed i confirmed what I wasseeing and white dot appeared to back up to moonlight and vanish in 1 second or less

Wow! nice capture matey. At times it looks like a single solid cylindrical object, at other times particularly when u zoom in, it appears to be several balls attached together. Could they be orbs in very tight straight line formation?

The object appears to be either heating the air causing the clouds to evaporate, or actually sucking in the moisture like a vacuum cleaner. This is very interesting. If faked I'd love to know how they did it.
This email is from Skyblueleisure.co.uk when i enquired about a Solar Balloon Hi Max, It says on the box don't fly over 50m so pretty high!! - I think you would need quite a temperature and a very still day for that though. saw the same shap over ramsgate kent last year just hovering in the sky clear as a bell and quite low in the sky although it looked silver up close as i was driving along then i drove passed a tree and when I looked again it was gone

I saw something very similar when visiting Ravensthorpe reservoir in Northamptonshire in 1990. Dark, long and cylindrical, very similar to this. It wasn't hower moving this much. It was in fact motionless for 15+ minutes whilst i was staring at it wandering why it wasn't moving. Seeing this vid gave me chills, almost like reliving something i can never seem to forget. Yeah, a tripod would have been nice, but great job anyway. Those Jets you hear towards the end..Scrambled military jets?
@MaffyMoose : It is a bit wobbly but I had to rest my arm on a low wall plus it was a bright day and the sun was glaring on the screen so was struggling to see the object. There was a couple of MOD plans that fly right by it before I started filming but they were prop planes. A little while after my battery ran out one of the planes came back for a second flyby, you can hear us talking about them at the start.

Its at time like these you'd wish you'd bought the tripod :-) However I can see it isnt a fake. Whatever it is. It appears to be floating and made up of 5 smaller circular shapes. Almost like a string of tightly connected ballons.
I saw exactly the same barrel shaped thing over Datchet near Heathrow in August 2007.
I reported it to the CAA Heathrow that day but had no after follow up. All Ic an say it couldn't be a balloon as it was travelling just above and in the same direction as the aircraft that were landing. 3/4 length of a B737.
There's a silver one under the title "Flying a 20-foot solar tube balloon" on youtube. And are you sure it's silver? I can't really tell from the video. It could be a plastic/garbage bag material and reflecting the sun to make it look lighter. But there are silver solar balloons.
And, although I'm not a meteorologist nor a pilot, I recall someone writing about Chinese Sky Lanterns before, and how wind currents can make them look as if they move against the wind and change direction quickly
@squarerabbits Just checked it out fella but have seen it before too, it's dark grey to black! If you look at my vid @ 5:14 it clearly shines up silver. I know what your saying about chinese laterns as i have seen them too but this stays in the same area for around 20 mins so unless it's tied to the ground i'd say that is imposible? it's a couple of thousand foot up so the string would be too heavy to lift.

What I found through video anaylis is that the object has no uniform shape. The object is skinnerier in the middle than the ends. The ends are more massive in density than the middle.....still xbow....it seems to be so subject to the wind! AYE?
I think it is a few large balloons attached together with netting or something like it. That's all XbowMax. It has no intelligence about it in the way it moves and seems to be subject to the wind.

I'm not saying it's an Alien craft but i am saying it's not a balloon or a kite, it flies too high for that and would have been at a dangerous height as it was in the flight path for Luton Airport which is 7 miles away. The fact that 2 military planes (as heard discused in the video) took an interest in it and did a flyby right past it lends weight to it being something out of the ordinary, possibly even military!

It's not moving mate, it stayed in the same location for about 20 minutes in total. If you look just before I zoom in at 2:20 you'll see that the patch of cloud to the right is not there when I zoom back out 2:50. the cloud is drifting slowly to the left but all the time the Object stays in the same area. That can be referenced by the trees at the bottom of the screen throughout the video.
You are write, squarerabbits. That thing sucks the cloud while it spins. We can see the stripes of cloud around it. When Max zooms in at 2:20 there is a big cloud behind the thing and when he zooms out at 2:50 the cloud is gone. That shit is collecting water from the skies.
I've looked at lots of Solar Balloon footage on youtube and none look like this. They need to be black to absorb heat (this is silver). Plus it stays in an area and doesn't drift with the cloud in the breeze. Also check out the cloud disapearing around it at 2:20 to 2:50, very strange!

Cheers, I unfortunately didn't see it till the end. I was cooking a BBQ at my friends house who you can hear in the vid, we had just fired up the BBQ when we spotted it, I filmed it till the battery ran out, then watched it for another 15 mins on and off between cooking, I check again and it had gone!!!! Kick myself to this day that I didn't stay to see what it did!! At one point it went very high up in the sky so may have done the same thing when it departed.

The fact of UFOs don't bother me but knowing there r different kinds do which mean different species. saw 3 moving in sync in 2006 as close as a plane coming in for a landing but still couldnt make out the details. I was in the backyard called my bro on his cell to look out his room window.he has better eyes than me and said some of it looked like an hour glass. Didn't think he knew what the hell he was talkin about but he was looking at the details while iwas in awe of the whole object. the hourglass he saw was that "turd" effect. Great catch %100 real. Excellent video, you did well to hold it so steady without a tripod, i have been messing around with my camcorder but i have a tripod now! That thing must have been quite a size when you consider how much you zoomed in! scary to think it may have had alien occupants! We need more people using camcorders and recording these things in the sky because its the only evidence we get to keep as the governments take what could be some of the best physical evidence away and keep it from us. It was hard to film because of the distance and the fact that the sun was glaring on the veiwing screen of the camcorder, can't say for sure what it is myself but I know it's no kite or inflatable solar baloon as I have researched all of those options and it is quite large, maybe about a 100 foot long.
3:18 and 3:19 and 3:26 there is a white UFO. The solar reflection off the cigar object at 5:13 is impressive. Many of these black "rods" have been taped but thats the first Ive seen flash a reflection off its surface. Leads me to believe its a dark metallic surface and not all that smooth or polished. Interesting !
It did gain another couple of thousand foot at one point shortly after but i didn't get that on film as my battery ran out. It came back to around the same height as in the video for another 5 to 10 minutes. It doesn't accelerate off though.
Its the same UFO that one Hacker named Gary McKinnon is sayng about!!! He sees it at NASA computers wile hacking !!! Peace

@SlotCarSuperstar After the battery ran out on camera I continued to watch it for 10 to 15 mins but I was cookong a BBQ at the time so had to keep popping round the corner to keep an eye on it.
At one point it went really high, maybe 10,000' up but came back down to 2 to 3,000' but I didn't see it leave the scene unfortunately!
Also 1 of the 2 military planes that we are talking about at the start of the vid came back for a second flyby.

This isn't fake, me my mum and my dad got pics of this UFO just standing there in the sky but started turning vertical and then horizontal, then when were looking at the pics, in the last 2 pics had a black dot flying in the sky nearby !! Also look up 'cigar shaped UFO' on YouTube there is tons of vids about them!!!

@xatPanda Funny you should mention the black dots in the pic mate cause if you watch this vid carefully there are some black dots that fly past the screen on several occasions, might be insects or birds flying by but I've taken stills from the original vid which is better quality than the YT version and they look too big and fast. First one goes left to right at 0:21 seconds.

I just witnessed this identical phenomenon here in denver colorado. It's night full moon, one of these was breaking off the leading edge of a huge dark moist cloud. I noticed the violent spinning of the cloud and recognized the face shape like cloud such as at 4:28, the shape the cloud gets when they draw it toward them, just look at that cloud move, thats processing to be sure.They noticed i confirmed what I wasseeing and white dot appeared to back up to moonlight and vanish in 1 second or less

The object appears to be either heating the air causing the clouds to evaporate, or actually sucking in the moisture like a vacuum cleaner. This is very interesting. If faked I'd love to know how they did it.

I saw something very similar when visiting Ravensthorpe reservoir in Northamptonshire in 1990. Dark, long and cylindrical, very similar to this. It wasn't hower moving this much. It was in fact motionless for 15+ minutes whilst i was staring at it wandering why it wasn't moving. Seeing this vid gave me chills, almost like reliving something i can never seem to forget. Yeah, a tripod would have been nice, but great job anyway. Those Jets you hear towards the end..Scrambled military jets?

@MaffyMoose : It is a bit wobbly but I had to rest my arm on a low wall plus it was a bright day and the sun was glaring on the screen so was struggling to see the object. There was a couple of MOD plans that fly right by it before I started filming but they were prop planes. A little while after my battery ran out one of the planes came back for a second flyby, you can hear us talking about them at the start.

I saw exactly the same barrel shaped thing over Datchet near Heathrow in August 2007.
I reported it to the CAA Heathrow that day but had no after follow up. All Ic an say it couldn't be a balloon as it was travelling just above and in the same direction as the aircraft that were landing. 3/4 length of a B737.

There's a silver one under the title "Flying a 20-foot solar tube balloon" on youtube. And are you sure it's silver? I can't really tell from the video. It could be a plastic/garbage bag material and reflecting the sun to make it look lighter. But there are silver solar balloons.
And, although I'm not a meteorologist nor a pilot, I recall someone writing about Chinese Sky Lanterns before, and how wind currents can make them look as if they move against the wind and change direction quickly

What I found through video anaylis is that the object has no uniform shape. The object is skinnerier in the middle than the ends. The ends are more massive in density than the middle.....still xbow....it seems to be so subject to the wind! AYE?

I'm not saying it's an Alien craft but i am saying it's not a balloon or a kite, it flies too high for that and would have been at a dangerous height as it was in the flight path for Luton Airport which is 7 miles away. The fact that 2 military planes (as heard discused in the video) took an interest in it and did a flyby right past it lends weight to it being something out of the ordinary, possibly even military!

It shines like a metallic hull sometimes, you can see that in the footage. Fascinatig.

There are numerous other objects like that through the video, hard to tell what they are, probably just insects or birds but not sure? We never saw any other objects flying around when i was recording but i never noticed the cloud disapearing at the time like it does at 2:20 to 2:50

It's not moving mate, it stayed in the same location for about 20 minutes in total. If you look just before I zoom in at 2:20 you'll see that the patch of cloud to the right is not there when I zoom back out 2:50. the cloud is drifting slowly to the left but all the time the Object stays in the same area. That can be referenced by the trees at the bottom of the screen throughout the video.

I've looked at lots of Solar Balloon footage on youtube and none look like this. They need to be black to absorb heat (this is silver). Plus it stays in an area and doesn't drift with the cloud in the breeze. Also check out the cloud disapearing around it at 2:20 to 2:50, very strange!

Cheers, I unfortunately didn't see it till the end. I was cooking a BBQ at my friends house who you can hear in the vid, we had just fired up the BBQ when we spotted it, I filmed it till the battery ran out, then watched it for another 15 mins on and off between cooking, I check again and it had gone!!!! Kick myself to this day that I didn't stay to see what it did!! At one point it went very high up in the sky so may have done the same thing when it departed.

saw 3 moving in sync in 2006 as close as a plane coming in for a landing but still couldnt make out the details. I was in the backyard called my bro on his cell to look out his room window.he has better eyes than me and said some of it looked like an hour glass. Excellent video, you did well to hold it so steady without a tripod, i have been messing around with my camcorder but i have a tripod now! That thing must have been quite a size when you consider how much you zoomed in! scary to think it may have had alien occupants! We need more people using camcorders and recording these things in the sky because its the only evidence we get to keep as the governments take what could be some of the best physical evidence away and keep it from us. It was hard to film because of the distance and the fact that the sun was glaring on the veiwing screen of the camcorder, can't say for sure what it is myself but I know it's no kite or inflatable solar baloon as I have researched all of those options and it is quite large, maybe about a 100 foot long.

3:18 and 3:19 and 3:26 there is a white UFO. The solar reflection off the cigar object at 5:13 is impressive. Many of these black "rods" have been taped but thats the first Ive seen flash a reflection off its surface. Leads me to believe its a dark metallic surface and not all that smooth or polished. Interesting !

It did gain another couple of thousand foot at one point shortly after but i didn't get that on film as my battery ran out. It came back to around the same height as in the video for another 5 to 10 minutes. It doesn't accelerate off though.
