I my self a jujutsu practitioner. I study combat military jujutsu; I train hand to hand and ground combat. We also train with many different weapons. Does that makes us the best,No. It depends in how much you train and in the character and personality of the practitioner.
That's the difference between combat and sport jujutsu. Brazilian jujutsu is the best one on one but if you get multiple attackers you will get your ass kick. It's a fact.
Jujutsu (English pronunciation: /dʒuˈdʒʌtsu/; Japanese: 柔術, jūjutsu listen (help·info), Japanese pronunciation: [ˈdʑɯɯ.dʑi.tsɯ]), also known as jujitsu, ju-jitsu, or Japanese jiu-jitsu, is a Japanese martial art and a method of close combat for defeating an armed and armored opponent in which one uses no weapon, or only a short weapon.[1][2]
"Jū" can be translated to mean "gentle, supple, flexible, pliable, or yielding." "Jutsu" can be translated to mean "art" or "technique" and represents manipulating the opponent's force against himself rather than confronting it with one's own force.[1] Jujutsu developed among the samurai of feudal Japan as a method for defeating an armed and armored opponent in which one uses no weapon, or only a short weapon.
[3] Because striking against an armored opponent proved ineffective, practitioners learned that the most efficient methods for neutralizing an enemy took the form of pins, joint locks, and throws. These techniques were developed around the principle of using an attacker's energy against him, rather than directly opposing it.[4]
@TigerNgtMare wow!!! where did you find that treasure trove of information? LOL. No Ju jutsu and jiu-jitsu are still different arts. Look it up. Judo and Jiu-jitsu both came from ju jutsu, but they are DIFFERENT. I can't believe you don't even know that. Shows you don't truly train in any of these three art forms.
The aliance team was pleny of good bjj fighters and moments, i think it could be a better hightlight.
