If you are going to condemn Islam on the basis that you have then it should naturally follow that you are willing to condemn every religion on the same basis; which I notice you do not do. @hugtube1 Of course Islamic scholars will tell you not to read it literally, there are plenty of reference points that show how people take it all out of context (as is done with the Bible also) and that it has to be studied in it's entirety to avoid quotes out of context. Quoting cherry picked lines from a bigger picture will never provide convincing evidence; if it is as evil as you say then why haven't the entire 1 million Muslims in GB risen up and pledged death to all non-believers?

I first saw him on some BBC 'debate' which also featured Ed Husain (if memory serves) from the Quilliam Foundation. They were clearly playing the old game of 'good cop, bad cop' - being the unreasonable and reasonable face of British Islam respectively.

Both are almost certainly in the pay of the Government; kicking the political football to and fro to try and prevent anyone taking an extreme position!
