Well....I am REALLY impressed!!!! Until today I have not heard a soprano worth listening to in this role other than Callas. But I REALLY enjoy Gencer's performance here. Still not as much as Callas...but at least she is comparable. Thank you for posting.

Medea must be one of the most difficult opera for a dramatic soprano and Gencer handles it very well here. However Medea is really a heavy role for her spinto voice and she didn't sing it very often (maybe she sang it only once in all her career).
