I just took a book on Norwegian music out of the library. The number of references he makes to Norwegian folk music is extraordinary. I'm suddenly becoming a HUGE fan of Grieg's.
Can you tell me which recording this is? I haven't found one that flows the way this one does. The others are either in a slower time or stylistically choppy.
I can't figure why I smelled the blueberry scent of a dark blue "Mr Sketch" marker when I started listening to this piece, I cant get it off of my nose now!!!
hmm, I think I like Anitra's Dance best. I hope it's because the piece itself is wonderful and not because I have nostalgic memories of the adaptation from the game "Quest of Glory 4".
I remember the first big surprise years ago when I was listening to Peer Gynt and suddenly heard this. I thought I'd never hear this piece again elsewhere than in that cosy inn :)
does anyone know where i could get the sheet muzic for this on solo piano of piano and violin? please, it's my favorite movement of the 1st suite!!! thanks...
Thank you very much for uploading this. I am currently learning to play it (piano) and have been searching for a some recorded version so I could hear how it's supposed to sound :] Fantastic with a violin
We're goin' to play the Peer Gynt Suite (complete) with our wind band at our local church as a part of our annual concert on Dec. 06. Visitors are more than welcome...
Lol, listening to this piece, I slowly remembered that it was used as backgroud music on Captain Silver game, a very old game for arcade, nintendo and master system ;)
From the "Xtreme North" to the "Wicked North";thanks for posting this,I think that Edvard Grieg, the "Emperor of the North" was the best at composing short pieces for orchestra. For someone who calls themself "Wicked", you have excellent taste in music!
I love this song; it's very light and relaxing. You can just imagine pixies skating to this song. But I can also really see where the Fable video game got it's music inspiration. Thank you for uploading this song.

Classical music, my friend, is the music for aristocrats.....all the rest is for the
humble plebeians

I do quite agree. However, I am both a classical and rock musician. :)
