After his quad/knee injuries a few years ago, he had to give up competing. He now works as a trainer in Palm Sprngs, and is very happy, I'm told by friends who know him, at about 215#. It must have been very hard for him to give up the sport, but he's adjusted well apparently. Always an inspiration to me in my training.
