hello, i was wondering about sao tome....and i looked it up, the City Sao Tome, looks really pretty and looks like a fun place, is Sao tome close to azores at all? if so are they similar, and in sao tome, what is the main langauge and ethnicity?

sao Tome es the lost paradise in africa. It has 2 islands (Sao Tome and Principe and a litle one called Ilhéu das Rolas). I've visited sao tome and the ilheu and i can tell you its the paradise...its africa in all its beuaty and brutality. you will see poverty but people there is so kind and with a big sense of humility. i love them.

its not close to the açores and it has absolutely nothing to do with it. only the language (portuguese) makes a link:)

official language is the portuguese but you have the native language (criolo of sao tome). the criolo may change a bit depending on the zone of the island because slaves had different origins. it was not ihabited until the period of discoveries. portugal used it has a passing point of slaves coming from africa, cape verde to brazil

main religion is catholic but you will find others at the moment...

The only travel video I could find of Sao Tomé, but it satisfied my curiousity regarding this little island state. (Fine choice of music.)

But how does one come to the idea of going there of all places..?

ps: are all the yellow cars taxis? Or is sunflower colour very fashionable there?

They're taxis... Public transportation does not exist there at all, so taxis are the only option available and consequently, very popular.

Its a country u should visit for sure!

You can not imagine what i (a portuguese guy) felt beig there. That people has a kindness and sense of humility that i could never find anywhere else in the world.
