no, that was the ncl spirit. i was on the dawn that exact day and we left first, followed by the spirit.
from where you're filming.. the dawn would have been on a different slot and tied to the lefts of the little building
and the spirit was in a slot to the right, and tied to the right side of the little building

The NCL ships never use tugs when they leave. Just like you I've always wondered why. They do just fine without them though.
