  • cannot even hear

  • Good Job:)

  • The Horse Stance is a training stance meant only to build muscle and stamina during training. It is Not a fighting stance. The big x thing was just sad. Stand with your feet 1 and a half shoulder widths apart, turn your toes inward slightly, squeeze in with your thighs, squeeze your butt in, back straight, head up, eyes open. Fatass.

  • Looks more like a cheese burger stance

  • why are there words over it!?

  • @heather13alexandra he means horse stance by begginer..lol

  • you shit house jet li is a fucking actor where as bruce lee is a actor and a real martial arts legend as he is the only person in the world to get 9th dan in 14 months of traning

most people dont get black belt in that time they dont even get anywhere near black belt after 14 weeks of traning

  • you shit house jet li is a fucking actor where as bruce lee is a actor and a real martial arts legend as he is the only person in the world to get 9th dan in 14 months of traning

most people dont get black belt in that time

  • I WANNA DO WHAT JET LI DOES!!! :( NO ONE CAN BEAT HIM!

  • Hes also a bit fat, this may be a problem too.Usually ,in movies too,the karate is practiced buy skinny but ripped guys.Jackie Chan was skinny, but when he was tenses his muscles he was looking ripped

  • @MCATZu ur fat not ripped

  • nigga should be teaching sumo wrestling

  • @h3nrydildo hahaha

  • I really cant stand out of shape, Fat ass noobs that are masters or even high ranks in Martial arts!! Theres no excuse!!!

  • im learning to be the karate kid lol :D

  • Comment removed

  • there is no experts in expert village ;)

  • im gonna take karate and taekwondo soon

  • This guy is constantly out of breath.

  • kooorbanDallas has got a very good argument lol

  • I have watched some of your videos and honestly you make many basic mistakes. Horse stance you have is not very good, your toes are out, your knees are not wide enough or low enough. Your center is high & your center is off. Anyone with any grappling skills will be able to move you & take you down very easily.

No offence or cut down, just what I see.

  • @0Invvalid racist asshole trolling in youtube..?

    looks that way, faggot.

  • Im not racist u fool

    just kidding -.-

    get a life ;)

  • @0Invvalid fuck off -_-

  • @0Invvalid

    stfu.

    nerd.

  • How many times u gonna say stfu?

    thats all u know hehe

    :D

  • @0Invvalid -_-

  • lol someone can just kick ur nuts out of u when they are behind u.

  • cualquiera!! ,no respeta las tradiciones del karate

    u.u

  • forget about fancy horse stances, of "moving the horse," fancy forms, pressure, locking, etc. All these will promote your mechanical aspects rather than help you. You will be bound by these unnatural rhythmic messes, and when you are in combat it is broken rhythm and timing you have to adjust to. The opponent is not going to do things rhythmically with you as you would do in practicing karate kata's or kung fu forms alone or with a partner.

    -Bruce Lee

  • This dude doesn't look like karate master))))))

  • я не вижу в нем мастера

  • you won't just use it for an attack from the side

  • it isn't the "best" , everything has different strengths and weaknesses it depends on your preferences

  • u r right ... but look at lyoto machida .. and tell me if karate sucks ; )

  • the x block leaves you open for a sweep and highly unbalanced also in a fight the horse stance rom is compromised and your groin is wide open kata dont mean shit in a real fight

  • "the horse stance is errr", then he starts making things up lol

  • isn't the horse stance just used from training your leg muscles, and improving stability...can't really fight in a horse stance lol, it's hard to move

  • cat stance = better?

  • no thats good to pwn someone if their charging you i think and if someone gonna try to take you down

  • lol sumbody charge at ur while u in a real horse tstance i'm sure you'd fall...

  • true or probably move on the side and do a sidekick or jump backward lots of times and keep doing sidekicks when your jumping backwards

  • yeah, its a transition too

  • it can also be a vital part in a take down

  • Lol. Well when I feel like learning karate. I'ma move to Japan and find the best Master b/c a street fighter is better than an Americanized Karate fighter. Btw I believe Brazilian Ju Jujitsu is overpopularized.

  • Give the guy a break, sheesh. He took the time to make this video. Relax, people..enjoy life. lol.

  • I'm two belts away from getting my black belt in youshukai karate international this may be some kind of karate I've never heard from but by what I saw I'm not at all in anyway impressed and thats not a horse stance its a pitiful shikodachi and the x block into it was useless its rarely ever called for it uses too much energy and isn't effective enough to really be worth doing nice try but you need alot of practice

  • Interesting comment. You're attacking one style of martial arts out of narcissism incognito. This makes me wonder who your Sensei is. Incidently, I'm 2 belts from being a first dan, myself. Also, know the difference between "ALOT" and the correct wording of "A LOT" . People might take you more seriously next time. lol.

  • Does expert village intentionally put out terrible instructionals?

  • this gguys a joke

  • SHIT!!!

  • i don't think hes a karate master to be showing how to do horse stance he looks a lil to fat to be a karate m...

  • Dont call this shit Karate.

  • to guard yourself,is called a yoi

    well.something like that

trust me,i just started karate and

i'm gonna be a striper(AS IN GETTING MY STRIPES VERY SOON ON MY WHITE BELT.)

  • good for you. I've been in Karate off and on for about 17 years, now. A few things have derailed me from achieving my Black Belt, but in time, I'll get it. Keep on going.

  • This is the kind of shit you get when you bring karate to the americas. Ugly uniforms, watered down quality of technique, and just "americanization," ugh!

Although there are a few good schools in north america, the majority is all mcdojos.

  • these americans sucks! Karate Kid is a example!

  • Lmao, so true!

  • is a example? you mean is AN example. what country are you from? Their spelling must 'suck' too lol

  • Karate is over popularized. I hope this guy can teach you karate tactics that can be modernized. Like instead of just going into a stance and waiting for an attack, look casual, wait for an attack, then block and stand and deflect.

The horse stance was used for traditional kung fu, but it's not practical for non-martial art opponents and fights.

  • Actually Karate has become less popular with the emergence of MMA, which usually is any combination of Wrestling, Boxing, Mauy Thai and Jui Jitsu. For some reason, Karate started to become looked at as a martial art which doesn't work.

That's true as it's true with any Martial...when it's used by itself. But as Lyoto Machida and his flawless MMA record show, Karate is a great base to have. Elusive, unorthodox, great striking. Overall, very effective stand-up. Got a bad wrap for no reason.

  • iiL FUCK DiiS KiiLA UP !

  • He looks like he does the horse stance alot in front of his dinner plate.

  • You can most definitely learn Karate Nongchok from videos. I have only watched literally three or four of these, maybe eight tops, and I almost killed someone the other day.

  • Uh oh, too many people know this now, I don't want to be afraid of somebody randomly trying to attack me with karate when I walk outside the door.

  • 5 stars!

  • i think this video is mistitled, it reads "horse stance for beginners" when it should read "horse stance by beginners"

  • lol BURN! It's true... ; ) horse stance is never effective in a fight...

  • Are you sure it isn't supposed to be the "Jackass Stance"?

  • @KooorbanDallas So true :D

  • @KooorbanDallas rofl.man i fell down from d chair

  • ( this vid makes me so sad. some1 msg me!! xD 7

  • cool

  • ???no offense but my horse stance is for training purposes...it hurts...not sure id use it for a fight...

  • be a horse

  • If you guys were ever going to learn a martial arts, either learn Shotokan, or this, Shorin Ryu. Never take karate lessons from videos. =/

  • Expert Village fuckin sucks

  • Mabu = Horsestance and Mabu is from Kung fu

  • r u serious?

kids never take advice about asian martial arts from overweight people. it shows a severe lack of discipline in their training, which means a lack of good technique. And that was the highest horse stance ive ever seen, im not even sure it qualifies as a horse stance! and how off balance was he before he dropped into horse stance! the lower ur horse stance the stronger ur leg muscles will become making u more agile.

    This is truly terrible.

  • m8 u can say tht again

this video is full off shit

  • am 20 age old and i want to start learning karate..am to old for this ?

  • Youre never too old to do something, remember that. ;)

  • Excellent martial arts training video and loved the quality. I hope to mention this style of training to you. -After training in the various martial arts systems for over 22 years and thinking I had seen it all. I was extremely surprised to train with your martial arm product. It is truly excellent and proves once again simple ideas are the best. F.Barrasong Just search for The martial arm

  • ders 2 virsions of the horse stance one like he did and one dats luks like ur taking a shit or a squat

  • well i prefer to grap the neck of the other person and start hitting him to his face and rather doing this shit

  • great for leg training bad for fighting...

  • he wears glasses hoping people wont hit him

  • It's a classic stance and is well established in Karate. Even if you don't agree with it's use and I'm no fan of it, his teaching of it is part of the overall learning process.

He does a good job. He keeps it short and simple.

  • Come and check my channel out people, i always sub back :D

  • Thanks for this awesome video, my friend does Karate and he told me about this stance. I do it everyday now. When i begun i couldnt even hold on for 30 seconds, now I can hold on to this position for 5 mins and increasing. I am also about to join karate :D

  • come on people, I admire anyone who has pluck to post videos of themselves. Stances differ in all types of karate and other martial arts- I take shito-ryu karate, and my horse stance (shiko stance) is parallel to the ground, but it could be different in other styles. besides, this stance is mainly used in katas- ive never used it in sparring.

  • my karate school teaches it different. i guess my school doenst teach the shorin ryu style

  • You look like a horse, you fight like a horse and i bet you get your ass kicked if you can't keep your balance.

  • Hey Kiem (Spelling?) = ) I know people have been saying bad things about this but thanks for posting, this really helps, please keep posting

  • thats not a deep enough stance

  • Capoeira is da best

  • This seems to have a value when it comes to looking pretty and drawing in customers to join a class, but I cant see any practical combat value coming out of learning how to stand in a certain way. Or that you need to bring your arms up in a X over your face before you step into it. Squats, deadlifts, and power cleans all train the legs in a way specific for martial arts. Standing in a horse stance does not.

  • Well he didnt even go into the horse stance. It can train endurance whilst drilling punches just like a chair position and while dropping the hips further and further it can also help flexibility but...as a standalone exercise I dont see the point either.

  • This does not even have value for looking good, I can't imagine anyone not walking straight back out of this guys club, what is really worying is this guy is not even doing this for comedy value, I actually believe he thinks he is good, all of the red belts in my club would put this guy to shame!!!!!!!!!!

  • Umm, there is value in learning how to stand in a certain way. It doesn't matter what MA you are studying, but there are good stances and bad ones. The Horse Stance is an all around bad stance as far as I can tell- not sure when it would be useful, but it looks like one of the more vunerable and unstable ways to stand, worse than just being in a neutral stance...

  • KARATE LESSONS???...this video is realy in the wrong category, the right cat. is comedy, i think.(And the other vids of yours i found, too)

I can´t believe that you realy think this has anything in common with Karate?

    Wake up..please

Or...much better: post some more vids with high class superior special master techniques...rofl...!!!

  • Read carefully....BEGINNER KARATE...nuff said...phhit

  • Interesting video!!! I agree with shoegooguru about the nuances in technique between systems. This video reminds me of the very basics of Shotokan or Tae Kwon Do being taught kids and adults. However I was taught by my Chung Do Kwan master that Horseback Stance/Juchum Seogi was not for fighting due to horrible balance inconsistencies from the front and back. Instead it was used to build internal discipline for the legs as well as strengthen and condition them for combat.

  • the depth of the horse stance varies by style. Kenpo horse is not the same as a tae kwon do horse for instance. All you who comment WITHOUT this basic knowledge are showing yourself to be ignorant amateurs IF you have accomplished anything at all. If you are better, post your own vids! Till then...no black belts are given here to mouthy pussies.

  • omg thank you for this viddd omg I love karate <33333333

  • Yea cross block so that you can't see where your going... nice move...did he buy that belt?

  • Horse!!! never been attacked by a HORSE!!!! Bu@%#%^,at least they run eith those in Spain!!!!!!!

  • actaully bend your knees, and keep your hands back by your ribs

  • no horse stance at all!

bring the thighs paralell to te ground, knees straight above the feet, get your muscles tensed > then you're in a horse stance

  • the stronger your legs are the less they need to tense, but yea they should be parallel to the ground

  • You're a fat pig. I would put you down so incredibly fast. You have no idea how to fight. Sloppy ass dumpy punk. Lose some weight. I recommend jumprope for you because you're off balance and stiff. Better yet, I recommend not eating.

  • Yes, his movements are not good, in fact they are soooo bad, but you actually are a fucking idiot, dude. Do you really think you can speak about him in that way cause his weight? See some videos of Taiji Kase Sensei or Oyama Sensei, asshole. Speak about movements, not about another things!

  • proconsulaugustus: Don't be an ass. You put YOURSELF down with just a few words, showing what an ass you are. YOU are no true martial artist. Obviously. One of the best martial artists I have ever known was overweight. YOU are a FAThead. STHU!!!

  • get lower lol
