I had a discussion about this with a Fundamentalist friend of mine over 30 years ago. The Fundies like to use that term "God-breathed". Pick up a dictionary some time and look up the word "breathed" - you will see that among its many definitions is the word "inspired".

All living things directly or indirectly absorb carbon, both C-12 and C-14, from the atmosphere, at the same ratio as it exists in the atmosphere. Once a living thing dies, it stops absorbing both C-12 and C-14.
Notice that something must have been alive to absorb C-12 and C-14. Therefore it is not possible to date inorganic material. Anything that was never alive, such as rocks, cannot be dated using carbon dating methods.

I had a discussion about this with a Fundamentalist friend of mine over 30 years ago. The Fundies like to use that term "God-breathed". Pick up a dictionary some time and look up the word "breathed" - you will see that among its many definitions is the word "inspired".
UU is an alternative used by many of different faiths (who BTW, may still keep & hold to those faiths), who wish to view God in a brighter light.

The Greek language is far more descriptive than the English. Our translations are accurate, and the word of God is infallible (perfect, without error). Radiometric dating encompasses a whole lot more than simply measurements of the half life of Carbon.
Decay rates of several different elements are taken into account, especially when it comes to inorganic matter. Uranium decaying into lead for instance.

There are too many problems with the entire process to use it as a measure of accurate age.

You must know a different group of conservatives than I do. The ones I know understand that scientific knowledge is a gift from God; that the Bible is scientifically accurate; and that there is no contradiction between REAL science (not your carbon dating 'accuracy' that your goblins made up) and the word of God, who originated all scientific truth. Do your own homework--visit the Creation Science Institute. And stop lying.

You aren't a historian. You haven't studied this stuff. The majority of historians and scientists disagree with you, as a "Christian guy on the internet".
I have a simple test for you- show us "mustard seed" level of faith. Move a mountain! Or heal a cancer patient. Or resurrect a dead guy. water levitate.
