my dad has a chevy impala and he drives like one of the hypermileage dudes and he gets around 21 max in his car...

The Honda Clarity uses only hydrogen AND the hydrogen is made for free using solar power.

it is because of the oil companies and American's attitude towards our gas cars that we will not change.

the hydrogen car is just like a gasoline car, same acceleration, etc. but it only emits water and the Clarity looks and drives like any other car.

what are we gonna do when the world runs out of oil? WWIII

you have to wait till about 5,000 and your first oil change for the MPG to go up..have to break the engine in.

it is just so much more quieter than my Honda. and I LOVE the automatic climate control, the steering wheel controls and the informative graphics on the dash that help you drive more economically.

i now accelerate slowly to take advantage of the battery/motor and brake slowly to take advantage of the regen. braking.

i could not be happier with my Prius. i wish we could get off gasoline

so i live in Fort Lauderdale and it is hot here 11 months out of the year so i use my air conditioning all the time which brings down your MPG a LOT!!

Car magazines were getting 35mpg. when testing the Fit, but i was only getting around 29 or so b/c of the air running. i drove economically too.

but I LOVE MY NEW PRIUS!!! it is a Prius II and got it below MSRP. and a LOT of options thrown in for free.

i am averaging 43MPG BUT, you gas mileage always is lower new..you have to wait till about.cont

i was a Honda owner all my life (i am only 33) but i bought and drove only Honda's. and for all those people who think they are buying "American" cars, like the Ford Fusion and Ford Fiesta which are both built in Mexico!!

Honda is actually more "American" with 8 out of every 10 cars built right here in America.

same for Toyota..

anyways, my last Honda was a 2008 Honda Fit Sport with A/T. i traded it in last week for a brand new Toyota Prius.
