when I was a little boy I knew each and every one of the models on the runway...

now...who cares?

I think the "fall" of the supermodel was because they became more celebrated than the designers and the garments ...

it just became too much...so the fashion industry had to rebel against them...

then Kate came around...all of a sudden it was about that alien-esque ,unique look...not the "ultra-babe" look supermodels had.

These women made fashion history; they were celebratred not just for their beauty but for the exciment they brought. No matter how much they try to survive this era, it will never be the same, girls now are just not, well they're just NOT. Even so called designers now are just boring.

yeah, nikki did a lot, but these girls were everywhere... parties, superstar boyfriends... nikki and tatjana were just too quiet

I agree she wasn't in the party scene like some of the other girls (probably one of the reasons I liked her so much and saw her as a role model), but she was still definitely one of the top supermodels of the 90s. She was even mentioned by first name in the 90s RuPaul song "Supermodel" along with Linda, Cindy, Christy, Claudia and Naomi.

These kinds of models, these kinds of women don't exist anymore. What has the fashion industry become? I'm sick of the models today... They all look like clones, and like girls trying to look like women, oh, and they weigh about 2 pounds a piece. These were TRUE women, with curves! :) xxxx
