Oh, this is so beautiful!!! I sang this oratorio two or three years ago, and I loved it, but it didn't sound anywhere near this amazing. (But then we're not Seraphic Fire!)
This gives me the chills... perfect blend of voices...and you can definitely reminisce in "And with his Stripes..." from "Messiah". Handel was a giant in his own right, despite this tune sounding very much like straight out of "Die Kunst der Fuge" from Bach. Excited to be singing this oratorio next month!

Lovely, lovely, lovely. What a fabulous choir! Many have said this fugue is in the "style of Bach" - no, Handel was a master of the form too. He has kind of re-worked the first motif later in Messiah with "And with His stripes"

Ironically, (as much genius as Haendel is), it sounds like Purcell. :)
