I think about how much good music I have missed all these years, there is something about these two bands, their songs are so deep and full of meaning. I feel something special every time I listen to their music, I can't describe it but it's amazing! I always feel that I want to tell other people to have this feeling too, but people are too caught up in the mainstream bullshit, but it's their loss I guess.

I went to their concert with Creed and let me tell you... Aaron Lewis' awesome voice alone demolished Creed's over-the-top performance... Creed had fireworkd and lights and fog and Staind just had themselves... but they made it an almost impossible act to follow. No amount of stage effects can do that.

@matt41bw Hey Matt, this album title actually has a funny story behind it....The guys were in the studio recording, and decided to take a break to talk about some stuff. Aaron was smoking a cigarrette when a record executive came in and asked what was going on, and how come they weren't making music.

Aaron told him they were working and what he was seeing was "The Illusion of Progress" so they had a good laugh and decided that was going to be the name of the new album...True story!

The lyrics have evolved , and the sound of music is cleaner. If I wanted to be stuck in the 70's I'd drag out my old record albums, hell I think I still have a few 8 tracks laying around somewhere. ;) Love to listen to 3 Days Grace, Breakin Benjamin, Linkin Park, Staind, Eminem, Red, and lots more.
