Actually MetroPCS is/was a 2G company & is pretty damn slow. They skipped 3G altogether(which has been around for a while now) & are just recently breaking into 4G-BUT they only have 1 phone that can take advantage of it. And only 1 Android phone that stupidly that will only work with their slower plans. Also known as 1 step forward & 2 steps back. :\

Using Google maps, Pandora, loading flash content, accessing the web, youtube, or anything that involves data usage, is a joke on the MetroPCS network. It's been around 10 years since Metro started with 1xRTT technology, 10 years later, they're still at 1xRTT (with no G's). I don't think they beleive in upgrading their towers for faster connections. However, you get what you pay for. $40 a month for shit services & connection speed.

Next to New York, San Francisco is 2nd to have the most MPCS towers in the US, which means SF is 2nd to have the largest coverage area. More coverage = stronger signals, stronger signals = better reception. In SF city limit, making phone calls via MPCS is a joke. Metro's technology (frequency CDMA 1xRTT) get's cut off by stronger frequency which = drop calls. I don't even have MPCS anymore & I know more than you.
